News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

Having Preston randomly in there with all the other names makes so little sense to me. In-universe, I don't think a newbie cadet would be on equal footing with some of the most legendary names to have graduated from the Academy.
Assuming the wall lists Medal of Honor winners or something similar, it's entirely believable Preston would be there. He stood to his post while the rest of the engineering crew was panicking, and no doubt Scotty and Kirk put in recommendations that he should be commended.

If anything, the large number of captains and admirals on the wall is surprising since such awards are usually post-humous and go to people operating on the front lines.

Heh ... Shouldn't that be a "A BLESSING FROM THE PROPHETS!

:techman:

I will be 50, Lord willing, when this comes out in 2026. I know I am not the target audience. I am interested in it. To have respected veteran actors like Giamatti and Hunter to say yes, when they definitely had to read the script, gives me promise too. Giamatti is not doing Star Trek just to do Star Trek.
One of the recent articles said that Giamatti was quoted as saying that TOS was a big part of he and his dad's interactions and that his "dream acting job" would be on Star Trek.

So, what's her half-life, then? ;)

Badges in the shape of the ship? That's really cool. I'm crazy about the bonkers designs of this era's ships. They excite me like the form of the original TOS Enterprise does.

Is this the first time that the Star trek fanfare has been heard in canon?

Still worried that this will be too much Disney Channel, but getting excited.
