Star Wars:The Clone Wars S3......so far

^ Personally I'd love Filoni to show run a New Jedi Order CGI series. Get Mark to reprise his role as Luke Skwalker as he struggles to rebuild the Jedi Order, Carrie Fisher can reprise Leia Oranga and Harrison Ford (probably would have to offer an arm and a leg to him) for Han. It'll never happen but I'd love to see it.

That would be awesome. Mark Hamill does alot of voice work for animation so I wouldn't be surprised if he could be convinced to come back, and Carrie Fisher has done Family Guy, so the same goes for her. I doubt Harrison Ford could be convinced to do it, I just don't see him doing a weekly TV series.

^There was this 3D animated comedy short online a couple months back featuring Han and Chewie pre-ANH, and the guy doing Han (who I think has done the role before in video games or Robot Chicken or something) did an uncannily good Harrison Ford impression. I'd be fine with him doing it.

And I still think that it would improve Episodes II and III immensely if they would bring in Mark Hamill to dub over every one of Hayden Christensen's lines.

You never know.
Harrison isn't getting the movie rolls he used to and in the past where he tried to distance himself from SW, lately he seems to be steadily embracing it.

Isn't up to the network on how many eps. they want the show to run for? Isn't that why shows like Superman:TAS & Justice League UnLimited got cut short?

Lucas is making them off his own back and selling them to the network. If CN tells them to jog on, he can either sell them to another network, or, push comes to shove release them straight to DVD/VOD.

Although seeing as TCW is their best performing show, I doubt that will happen any time soon.

The goal was to do 100 episodes. Filoni was asked about this. I can't remember what the response was but I think he said the number was flexiable.

They have to be approaching 60 episodes now.

Yep the original intent was 100 episodes and or five seasons. Season four is being worked on right now. Season five I'd guess is at least at discussion phase. Filoni keeps avoiding answering the question of Ahoska's fate as well for obvious reasons lol.

My issue with Ahsoka's death is that Anakin in ROTS doesn't act like a guy who's just suffered another devastating loss. His mother's death is still hanging over him but I think losing Ahsoka would have just made him snap.

I think SW has a real future in animation. I wish GL would do an original trilogy animated film or series. Shadows of the Empire for instance seems like a no-brainer. Thing is, I feel that The Clone Wars animated films lack of success might scare them off from trying again. I liked The Clone Wars movie although I think giving it a wide release was a miscalculation.

I think they underestimated the amount of lingering PT hate out there and the degree to which the film would be savaged by the PT-hater contingent now in power at many media outlets.

That could be it. But despite all the hate, people still went to see the prequels repeatedly when they were out. But the animated film is not a live-action one.

I agree with Darth Pipes regarding Anakin's emotional state at the start of ROTS. If that is the direction they take Ahsoka in...I dunno I guess you could say that Anakin and Obi-Wan have been distracted with the Outer Rim conflicts (which is where they were when they were recalled to Courscant) and Anakin buried his feelings about Ahsoka. This is the thing that interests me about the series and why I find Ahoska's presence and creation so interesting.

I still think they created the character to survive for the live action series. They have set it up too perfectly.

I don't think Lucas really knows what to do with the live action show to be honest least of all using Ahoska. I have kind of thought since the start that Ahsoka some how will survive and that Anakin won't be aware that she has.

I personally think it would be along the lines of him not being able to bring himself to kill her (her being the only Jedi he feels didn't betray him) , but leaving her with the warning that if they ever crossed paths again he would have to kill her, leaving the threat of being caught intact.

I think we've already been given clues as to her fate through her creation. She was assigned to Anakin in the first place by the Council to help alleviate his feelings of attachment to people. Well we know how he deals with that. Filoni has hinted that the Clone Wars timeline is being told through Ahoska...she's our POV character. This indicates to me that she's not around post Clone Wars...and we know visually she's not around but who knows it may well be she survives.
