Spoilers Star Wars: Resistance season 2 discussion

I don't know, the wings, engines, cockpit and fuselage are all different. There's at least as much distinguishing this one from the original as the other two models we've seen.

According to yesterday's episode, it has been 6 years since the Resistance was founded.
So it's still 34ABY

Man, that First Order ship really is underpopulated! ;)

Obvious First Order security asside, I basically loved this episode. The new pilot, Venisa
that's Venisa Doza, Torra's mother :)
played by Tasia Valenza (Shaak Ti in TCW) is spectacular.

Oh, I'm late again, but that's Elijah Wood as Jace Rucklin.

Pretty cool episode. As seen from that preview clip above, the pilot was a pretty cool character, and it was neat getting further backstory on the Doza family.

It was also designed by veteran Star Wars ILM model maker Bill George (ROTJ, TPM and GE), who made an actual physical model of it first which was then scanned to create the CG model.

He also designed the Colossus and Fireball in the series. Which also had physical models made.

Terex from the Poe Dameron comic was named dropped, as was the planet Lehon from Knights of the Old Republic

The last episode stunk. Overall, this season has really sucked and I'm happy the show is ending. What a wasted opportunity.

I really don't care for the Aces. And im enduring the basic idea these are kids /teens that are doing things seasoned adults should be doing.

The typical Wesley Crusher syndrome.

All these adults on the Colossus and each week it's children saving the day, getting food, gambling for their lives, repairing essential equipment, etc...

I think you're underestimating ages here. Kaz is a fully trained and deployed New Republic Navy fighter pilot. Figure he's minimum around the same age as Luke in ANH. And the other characters have to be in a similar age range. Tora always struck me as the youngest, but even she's gotta be 16-17 minimum. For Star Wars, that's right in your prime.

You're nearly right on. Wookieepedia says Kaz was born in 14 ABY, so he's 20 as of The Last Jedi, a year older than Luke in ANH. Torra is 16.

Yeah, the gambling episode was a little weak. That place seemed like it was never going to compete with Canto Bight.

And the curse episode was very "early season one-ish". The Guavian Death Gang never felt like a threat.

Although Leoz is pretty good at dropping curses. Well done there.

And I was glad to be reminded of Bolza Grool's name.

The curse episode was pretty bad. Painfully predictable from the very start, and it didn't even try to take the story in an unexpected direction.

I don't know, I was expecting there to be a rational explanation for the trick dice and all the mechanical trouble. Having it all be in his head seemed slightly less pat and by-the-book, even if it means things don't entirely make sense.

Also, I'm not sure if it's Stockholm Syndrome or what, but I found Neeku's repetition and statements of the obvious pretty funny in this one, where usually it's just sort of "there."

It's kinda telling that while three episodes have passed, this thread hasn't even advanced a whole page's worth of discussion. There's just not a lot going on in this show, which is kinda disappointing given how season 1 ended.
