A google search didn't turn up word on how long Rebels will be, so I think I heard it on the Force Cast podcast in an interview with one of the voice actors.
I think the episode that REALLY showed what The Clone Wars was capable of was Season 2's Landing at Point Rain, the Longest Day-inspired Battle of Geonosis.
Last night's episode definitely had a Clone Wars vibe to it.
Personally I'm happy for them to simply ignore all that old EU detritus and just tell new and interesting stories.
Plenty of action to that episode ... plus an on-screen death (or was it more than one?). And while it did seem odd that we'd see the B-Wing featured so prominently, I agree that it's better to just tell good stories independent of whatever the EU may have established.
.
Did anyone else get a serious James Horner vibe from this episode's score? The whole thing pretty much screamed "golden age of aviation" tribute.

I don't feel it's creepy - has a large age difference between articulated between the two?

Doesn't everyone? The creepy-ness I felt, which I suppose I should have bothered to explain, is that despite Ezra's crush on her they still feel like a brother/sister combo to me. I dunno. Then I wonder if Sabine would ever reciprocate - she seems to find him irritating, and continues to.
Apologies billcosby, but given recent real world events, I find a certain dark, ironic humor in someone with your user name talking about "creepiness" in regards relations between male and female. The creepy-ness I felt, which I suppose I should have bothered to explain, is that despite Ezra's crush on her they still feel like a brother/sister combo to me. Ezra's crush on a pretty young badass woman such as Sabine is understandable, but he has a lot o maturing to do before any kind of romance can develop between the two.
I don't think any sane young woman would ever be attracted to a whiny 11-year old brat trapped in a teenager's body. That would indeed be creepy as hell.
You have just failed Star Wars.Hey! What if the midichlorians "chose" Padme because they needed her specifically to get to Luke and Leia? They could've manipulated the Force through Anakin and mind-tricked her into loving the snot.![]()
I am convinced the crew behind this show are fans of the old West End Games RPG. The Black Suns, if I recall correctly - it's been 20 years, where introduced in a game supplement about criminal organizations.
Also loved the use of yet another ship design from the Art of the Empire Strikes Back in the shuttle craft they stole. It looks a lot better in 3 dimensions than I ever imagined from the sketches.
Conversely, when they went for something newly designed, Ketsu's ship, I found the design lacking. Basically a saucer with a couple of bits from a Y-Wing tacked on.
Her backstory made me think of the child soldiers in Africa who are forced to fight for warlords as little kids and get brainwashed into the violence.
