Star Wars Rebels Season One (spoilers)

I was able to see episodes 1 - 3.

Hmmm....I think it's okay. I'm not fawning over it, but I am curious about how the show will pan out. I've noticed that they use a lot of musical cues from the original trilogy, which adds to why many feel the show is more "Star Wars" than the previous animated attempts were. (Not too mention, a lot of what we're used to see - Imperials in uniform, stormtroopers, used hardware, star destroyers, etc - are present, and nothing about Clone Wars, midichlorians, Gungans....etc.)...

There are always the posibility of call backs. Also the Imperial Senate still exists, so there is always the chance that Binks is still representing Naboo.

There are lots of elements from the prequels and TCW I wouldn't mind seeing again... but Naboo is not one of them. The only character from that world I'd really like to see again is Palpatine (obviously).

I already like this show a lot more than I ever did TCW. I mean there've been a couple of moments where I was actually giddy.

I don't know, I think I dislike the entire Gungans as much as Binks, they are just less clumsy version of him. The inflection and demeanor bothers me from the Gungans.

I have to admit, I didn't mind Jar Jar as much on TCW for some reason (and actually kinda enjoyed that final two-parter with him and Mace). It probably helped that his cartoony antics seemed to fit a bit more naturally in an actual cartoon series.

They have a bit of freedom. They did make him useful in the Clone Wars, so I imagine, if they use him, they would attempt to have him be a cornerstone of the Rebellion in the Senate. Or be used against the rebels because he isn't told what it going on and just sent in by the Empire to cause chaos (odd considering the Empire is about order).

We will see. They've already had a semi-crossover with both Star Tours and Droids.

They used Jar Jar fairly well in The Clone Wars and Ahmed Best has seemed to learn how to make the character a little funnier.

I had some issues with tonight's Rebels episode but absolutely loved the ending.

I thought the show was cancelled?
