Star Destroyers can fly in the atmosphere. It may not have fallen from orbit.
Star Wars Rebels has shown them in a planet's atmosphere.Star Destroyers can fly in the atmosphere. It may not have fallen from orbit.
Thanks--I imagine that detail is in some official stats somewhere as it is never actually scene onscreen.
I believe they showed the earlier models used during the Clone Wars take off from Coruscant in Episode II and in the Clone Wars series.
They could have stripped the inside and just left the outer shell. We only see the outside, so the inside could just be nothing but the skeleton.Seeing these pictures i wonder why these have not been picked clean by Junkers and scrap metal traders.. 20 years or so should be plenty of enough time to even dismantle a Star Destroyer and sell whatever tech survived the crash.
Then again we would not have gotten this awesome shot in the trailers![]()

I can't believe that in a little over five months we are getting a new Star Wars film. It's surreal. In less than two weeks, we will be getting a full theatrical trailer for it that will crystallize the story details.
Let this sink in for a bit
