Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

Fandango's Movieclips has put together a new "Ultimate Force" trailer using footage from a bunch of the trailers, going back to the first teaser and up to the most recent TV spot. It's actually one of my favorite trailers we've gotten.

That's actually really terrible.

From a new article at Rolling Stone.

Cool article... although now I feel kinda stupid. During all this time when Abrams was talking about being intrigued by the question of "Who is Luke Skywalker?", I assumed he meant "Who is Luke really?" or "What kind of person is Luke deep down?"

I didn't realize it was a question from someone in the SW universe who had simply never heard of Luke Skywalker before.

Yeah, I had thought the same thing.

KYLO: Your weight loss secrets.

I must learn them.

One difference is that Harrison Ford has appeared in several of the teasers/trailers, we know something about what he is going to be doing. Mark Hamill is known to be in the film but his part is completely unknown. We have seen a mechanical hand assumed to be his but JJ seems intent on having is role be a complete surprise for the first viewers.

The mechanical hand touching R2-D2 most likely belongs to Luke and thus we've technically already glimpsed him even if we didn't see his face, but I also had a theory early on that it belongs to Max von Sydow's character. He's reported to play somebody with mechanical or cybernetic implants on his body as the result of past events that might date back as far as the era of the Old Republic and the Clone Wars.

To me, it's one or the other.

Harrison Ford attempted to demonstrate his TFA injury during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The clip is hilarious and worth a watch.

Hilarious video... although as a 1/6 collector it's still a bit painful to see him ripping apart a $250 Hot Toys figure like that.

I know the feeling. I didn't realize it was a Hot Toys version of Han that cost that much, but the cringing was the same. ;)

[Arnold] PUT DOWN THAT COOKIE!! [/Arnold]

Wait, wrong movie.

No, it had Jake Lloyd in it. That's close enough.
