Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

^Holy crap. It's hard to believe it's that close.
I love those new posters. The way you posted those it looks like Finn and Kylo are holding one really long two colored lightsaber.

Based on the poster size, I wonder if Ford and Ridley have the biggest parts in the film?

I think that could be a result of either where they were downloaded from or where they were hosted.

Throwing them all together and downloading them from the same source, the dimensions seem the same, plus I really like the line that goes all the way down through them.

I'm offended!!!!! :techman:
Mission accomplished without firing a shot! :techman::guffaw:

Also, comparing the B-Wing to the A-10? That's just a low blow to make me like the B-wng. Also, it's working ;)

Mission accomplished twice over! :techman:

Actually, in all seriousness, I am totally fine with Disney forgoing the metal bikini and all the "super sexy" or whatever with comic book covers. The metal bikini was fun for the OT, but it just has been taken too far, in my opinion.

Leaving it behind will hopefully lead to so more interesting designs.

Blame the cosplayers who popularized the look. :D

And blame the fat, flabby males who seemed to think it was funny to dress up that way....... gaahhhh.... the mental scarring!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens-an eye for an eye makes the galaxy blind...;)

Alright, joking aside, I like seeing the posters and getting an interesting of the players for this film. All of them looking pretty cool.

Party pooper!

They look cool, but I don't really like the Ridley one. Her staff(?) is far too close and clear, to where it's obvious that it's a painted prop.

I disagree. It looks pretty convincing as weathered metal. At this point I'm pretty well convinced it is a "light" weapon of some kind. Very similar in style to several of the PT lightsabers.

The obvious Phillips-head screw is a little distracting, but also lends it a bit of realism.

I had similar thoughts, thinking that the staff looked more weathered than painted. I don't find it unrealistic at all, at least in comparison to other SW props :)

Some of the original props used during the first three movies were so obviously repurposed, everyday tools and other objects that you can occasionally chuckle at how quaint they look in close-up and much more detailed photographs. Han's Corellian bloodstripe pants in ANH are supposed to have been everyday blue jeans or trousers from the Seventies with red stripes painted or sewn down the sides of each leg.

Most (if not all) of the blaster props were modified from functioning military surplus. At Docking Bay 94 you can see some blanks flying out of the guns as the stormtroopers try to "blast them."
