Star Wars Detours Trailer

Well, from the clips I've seen (here's a set of six clips), the putative time frame of the series is between the two trilogies; Leia is portrayed as a bratty preadolescent, Han and Lando are still hanging out, Greedo is still alive, Ben is living on Tattooine, etc. So Luke would be a little kid too, presumably. (And yes, that's despite all the OT references.)

This thread would not be complete without the #1, certified platinum "Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band" single from Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk by Meco (1977):

They could have Leia and Luke meet and then get conked on the head and forget it afterwards. Do that every ep if they want.

For my money, Luke is the most parody-ready of all the characters, granted that's up against some very stiff competition, so to leave him out entirely would be a very strange and disappointing decision! :klingon:

And after seeing those videos, I'm starting to get the idea, adults just need to watch this show stoned and all will be well.

So this is going to just follow a single group of characters in a specific time frame? I was expecting it to be more of a Robot Chicken type thing, with stuff from all over the universe and timeline.

I never really thought about it, but if I had, I don't think I would've expected it to be just "Robot Chicken in CGI and more kid-friendly." After all, the creators have already got Robot Chicken, so it stands to reason that they'd want to do something different with this.

Thanks for the link!

The Leia skit is great, especially the Han/Lando bit at the end. Liked the Obi-Wan/stormtrooper "cops" line too.

I caught wind of this at Celebration, and I'm definitely
looking forward to seeing where they're going with it.

Looks like it could be amusing but I don't know if there's enough to be a weekly show. Time will tell!
