According to the variety article it seems the Rey movie was the one being worked on by Damon Lindelof before he left and that was rumored to be the closest to filming. I imagine we'll see that first.Probably unanswerable. But is there any reason to believe any of these film announcements, vs any of the others that have been announced only to never materialize over the past five years?
No, there is not. However, that it was done at a fan event and not an investor invent might point to a little more fire to this smoke.Probably unanswerable. During Lee-Jung Jae's portion of the interview, he answers in Korean (but clearly understands the English questions) and then his translator answers for him, and I'm just sitting here loving how accepting and normalizing that exchange is from the fans. And the first few stage interview VoDs for some of the cast from 'The Acolyte' have started to drop: -
Honestly? That doesn't matter to me.I'm not opposed to bringing Rey back to the big screen, necessarily, but I wonder if they'll want to wrap up the Thrawn storyline in Filoni's movie before its release, to keep her story from being overshadowed. Since she's already defeated Palpatine personally, with Thrawn long gone (presumably), it'll be interesting to see what kind of antagonist they come up with for her flick.
I'm calling it right now; it's going to be 'Star Wars' meet's 'Cobra Kai'. Some other ex-pupil of Luke's is going to open a competing Jedi school with cooler outfits and a focus in all that flashy-jumpy-flippy sabre combat from the prequels, and there's going to be a musical training montage and everything!I'm not opposed to bringing Rey back to the big screen, necessarily, but I wonder if they'll want to wrap up the Thrawn storyline in Filoni's movie before its release, to keep her story from being overshadowed. Well, Kathleen Kennedy's continued tenure has proved critics who've predicted her imminent ouster by the Disney brass wrong many times now, so there are two possible explanations for that: either said Disney brass has unlimited patience, and would never, ever remove her, no matter how many plans go up in smoke, or they think she's got a solid enough plan to keep around. Given the dramatic firing of Bob Chapek, it's unlike the former explanation is true, so it seems probable that the Disney execs have confidence in these latest announcements. That's no guarantee, true; but it does seem like a fairly credible indicator.Probably unanswerable. Donald Glover seems to really have liked playing Lando and is open to returning. I think you could certainly have him play Lando in that earlier time period from Solo, or even come back and be Lando in the stuff taking place during Mando/Ahsoka/Thrawn storylineWonder if we'll hear anything about a Lando series. Also if there might be a Boba Fett and Obi Wan season 2 since they did well in the ratings.
I doubt either will be the case. The story that Glover is in negotiations just broke the other day, so it's not like they'd actually have anything more to announce than what they did during that investor call a few years back.Wonder if we'll hear anything about a Lando series. Also if there might be a Boba Fett and Obi Wan season 2 since they did well in the ratings.

I would bet large sums of money that Disney signed her to more than one movie; they're just publicly committing to a single outing for now, particularly in light of how they've previously promised at least two trilogies they're no longer doing entirely.I would have brought back Rey in a TV show to be honest. Make her the EU Luke and give her those adventures. A movie is too restricting.
Is she a big name? I’m sure she’s getting more money but I don’t think she would be that expensive.I would bet large sums of money that Disney signed her to more than one movie; they're just publicly committing to a single outing for now, particularly in light of how they've previously promised at least two trilogies they're no longer doing entirely.
It's simple: if this movie does well, Disney will want to make more, and if she isn't contracted for more, she'd be able to hold up said sequels for a higher salary. Ergo, it's only logical for Disney to lock her in to more than one movie up front, especially since the first movie will serve as its own advertisement for the potential others. Bringing her back at all is an investment, and one they'll want to capitalize on.Is she a big name? I’m sure she’s getting more money but I don’t think she would be that expensive.
It is possible she isn’t interested into doing something that long term.
