* Might as well go all the way if your gonna make heads explode, eh ? *

Kirk and Spock program a holoprogram featuring a 19th century Irish village. Kirk falls in love with one of the villagers and risks the ship to save them.

The ship is saved after they go back in time to the time of the ENT episode, "Regeneration", steal some Borg nanoprobes, killing Trip in the process. They return to the 23rd Century and use the nanoprobes to reset the timeline, so the whole movie didn't happen in the first place (ie reset button).

I can haz academy award now?

The Prime Directive is Abolished.

The Federation now a more military force , finds itself in an esculating cold war with the now more agressive Romulan Empire and the more territorial Klingon Empire.

They decide to Abolish the Prime Directive in relation to grabbing more territory for the Federation . Gone are the days when they observe and determine if a society is ready.

Now if possible they will 'invite' mostly stable Planets to join the Federation. To add more numbers and resources. If the planet is politically unstable they will aid whoever seems reasonable to make it stable. And if they are basically living in caves they will mine the planet if needy resources under the newly formed Federation resource emergency act.

The Federation Picard knew, Janeway believed in is gone.

Welcome to the United Alliance of Federation Systems.

This isn't a horrible idea for something. If they made a movie about that there'd be... I don't even want to think about the fan reaction. It'd make the Seattle Riots look like recess at a Kindergarten (keeping in perspective that ST fans would limit all their rioting to online forums). Still, I dunno, like an alternate reality type deal? Something, I don't know what, but there's something there.

I've got it!
The transporter works perfectly for the entire movie.
During battle, nothing on the bridge shorts out or explodes.

Oh nevermind. It will never happen.

I'd feature a shot of a TOS style Miranda class, flying in tandem next to the Enterprise, but have it scaled up so the saucer is roughly the same diameter.

Scale? We don't have no scale! We dont' need no stinking scale!
Long live the humungous Abramsprise!

1)Starfighters and the carriers to house them in
2)Holographic tricorders (ala Star Trek Online)
3)The holodeck
4)Starfleet Marines/MACO's
5)Body armor for said Marines/MACO's-something similar to the Iron Man amour
6)The same uniform for men & women (no more stupid skirts)
7)Uhura as head of security
8)An Engineering set similar to the one seen in TNG
9)Nurse Chapel, as played by Dakota Fanning ;)
