That would be a Nasat. Well, if the population problem they had in the litverse carries over to the prime universe, there may not be many of them.
it has, it’s more or less where the only shuttlebay was on the 1701. The same goes for the other enterprises, actually…and the latest ambassador refit even adds a third one underneath.
"Shuttlebay 2" gets frequently mentioned in dialogue, even though there is clearly only one shuttlebay on the ship. As it turns out, Threshold is my favorite mention of this so called shuttlebay 2, in this very scene when Harry reports there is an unauthorized launch in bay 2, Chakotay's reaction is "What?" I've always liked to pretend he's genuinely confused as to how there can be a launch from a shuttlebay that doesn't exist.
First, I think the new Helmsman may have wanted to adopt those 'puppies'. And second - the looks on Chakotay's face... "...and it was in that moment Chakotay realized he could never be with Katherine without picturing this nightmare." Explains a lot, eh? Third, we need one 'after-credits' scene, where we see Neelix serving some sort of Talaxian Escargot, and saying, "I found these down on that planet we visited... they're delicious!", and then everyone running to barf.
Only if "Resolutions" (the quintessential J/C shipper's episode) had taken place before then. However, it didn't.
