I played it a lot a few years ago - but eventually I had to put the cheats in to get past certain areas....*shame*Does anyone still play this game?
IMO, it was one of the best Star Trek games ever made and I play it regularly but the sequel wasn't very good.
It would, but I'm not sure who'd develop it; Ritual's gone belly-up, and Raven is busy working on the next Wolfenstein game. I can't think of any other PC developers who are left with a proven track record at developing good licensed FPSes... Maybe Gearbox? (Though they're even busier--publicly--than Raven...)It would be nice to see another sequel running on a younger engine.
Might be a problem if Raven (who owns Activision) wants to get involved, true.there's the bigger problem of Activision falling out with Paramount over the fact that Nemesis sucked and (AV claim) it negatively affected sales...
DE's first solo work wasn't well-received, so I'd say not them.so: Digital Extremes or Epic...?

Surely its the other way around? As in, its Activision that owns Raven?
Yeah, I just can't type worth a damn.Surely its the other way around? As in, its Activision that owns Raven?
Epic is great at tech, but I haven't been terribly impressed by their recent attempts at story-based shooters (Unreal II, Gears of War).
There's no reason someone else couldn't license the Unreal tech, though; after all, they did for Klingon Honor Guard and The Fallen....but imagine a Star Trek game running on that framework. Phaser shootouts plus Gears of War's cover system? I'm there. Something that like that would just beg for a Siege of AR-558 mod.
My only niggling complaint with the game was that Picard looked a little too short!
