Enhancing the image, it looks like there might be an "F" in front: "FLOWE". No idea what that might be a part of, though.

Yeah, I thought that looked like an "F" but it's not as clear. MAYFLOWER is my guess too.
You can actually see Scotty in this picture. He's standing off to the right. You can see a bit of his coat and a gloved hand. This scene definitely occurs after the ice planet.^ Yeah I love that. Just like in ST:WOK. These boys know their stuff.

My frist impression was "L O V V E". I thought it might be "Lovvell" (for Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13), but his name only has one v.
Misspelling perhaps?

Good thing that neck is ''Finally'' reinforced! But you can see why Starfleet got rid of the neck on ''future'' vessels.

I do too. It actually fits Trek to have a ship w/ Hornblower. Wouldn't be the first ship w/ a name from literature, come to think of it in the TNG ep Conspiracy wasn't Picard's friend Walker Keel captain of the Horatio.

There are two Hirogen-like guys on the left, a woman with a huge cranium in the bottom right, and that really tall alien guy on the right behind the grey uniform guys. There's also a guy with a sort of melted face right in the middle. So that's 5 I spotted so far.
There could be less alien looking guys like Vulcans hidden in there too.
