Star Trek: The Series (Featuring the 1st Captain of Kirk's ship)!

I like it, especially the idea of a Brikar as security chief. I'd like to see Brandon Routh in Star Trek, I actually envision him as one of the cast members in my fanfic series. And I'd like to read some fanfic about this idea, it'd be great.

Tiberius:

Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. I have been working on the basic plot break down a bit today and I have some new good ideas already for the Brikar security chief and Brandon Routh's character, actually.

I am about 65% done with the plot breakdown so far. So hopefully things will continue to go smoothly so I can post something.

Luther Sloan...first I too applaud your efforts in developing an actual series pitch it is indeed a refreshing change! I've long been a big fan of Robert April and enjoyed reading the books that dealt with him and George Kirk and I recently started working on my own pitch for a rebooted Star Trek series that features April as a reoccurring character and a mentor for Chris Pike and best friends with George Kirk who is first officer of the USS Kelvin but I digress...

I concur with other posters who have indicated that most of the actors you've selected for roles in the series would not be available but at least its nice to have a visual representation of a character's likeness. April's personality seems quite jarring from the character featured in the novels but I suppose that's fine. I like all the characters. I'd watch your show for one.

I don't know if you have any intention of doing this but i'd love to read this as a fan fic series.

Your captain is too generic looking. And has Brandon Routh learned to act yet? Keep Michael Cera far away from Trek. He's a one-trick pony and his trick is not Trek.

I like the crew, but i'm kind of tired of Constitution class ships (especially ones named Enterprise)

Admiral Young:

Thank you very much for the kind words.

As for the books: I didn't know there was written material dealing with Robert April's character. Fascinating.

Yeah, this whole concept is of course wishful thinking. But it's fun to think of what could have been or could be (if all the world was cotton candy and rainbows).

As for April's personality: I wanted the audience to sympathize with his character like folks did with Captain Sisko in Emissary. However, this April is a lot different than Sisko, though.

I don't know if you have any intention of doing this but i'd love to read this as a fan fic series.

I appreciate the interest. I actually was just going to do a really interesting plot breakdown for the pilot episode (with a title), and hook (attention grabbing scene). Hopefully inspiring others to write it or their own version of it.

Guardian Bob:

Yeah, I thought that, too. I actually thought these group of characters could be slightly changed around to work better in another Trek series. However, I was intrigued by the possibilities for a story line like this, though; so I decided to at least get the ball rolling down the hill on it to inspire others.

It's funny, I have a soft-spot for Archer. Maybe it's because I'm a keen Enterprise fan - this might make my opinion slightly bias. Anyway.. I don't know who I which crew/cast I would prefer, if I am honest. The casting seems to be great here.. maybe even better than Enterprise. Your story and choice of Captain also works with the timeline of Star Trek, which I do like. Sadly, Archers' Enterprise does not..

Luther Sloan, I can't help but notice that out of ten characters you have seven males and seven caucasians (all the women are). Apparently only two aliens, although some of the others could also be humanoid alien. Do you think you should mix it up a little more?

Robert makes a convincing argument (with no actual proof of his own). So he is given -- 72 hours -- to find some answers before Starfleet sends a fleet of ships that could potentially put them at War with the Romulans again.
April: "Look Admiral I know it thin, but if you can hold the strike force I know I can prove out my suspicions."

Admiral: "No, I'll let your team continue their investigations, but I won't hold the attack. This is what you have, three days to finish assembling the fleets at Starbase 12 and Fisher 3, two weeks travel time to Romulus, that's the time you have.

April: "Seventeen days, I'll take that."

Admiral: "Thirteen days actual. You realize with the comm lag time that if I send a recall order four day before the attack, by the time it reaches the strike force Romulus will already have been hit."

April: "And we'll be back at war."

This would allow April's team time to be shown investigating, take into account for the tech of the day (comm speed and warp speed). The story still would have a approaching dead line that April would have to beat.

Di Mar:

It is nice to hear that you like my cast of characters and that you feel the time line of my particular story works. In the next few days I will see if I can finish up that plot bread down and create a brief scene with the characters.

Thank you for your encouragement and your interest.

T-Girl:

Sure, I am open to any suggestions of course. I did consider Puerto Rican Actor Esai Morales from Caprica within the cast. But I just didn't see where he could have fit at the time, though. Maybe as the number one's right hand man or something (who also used to be in the military).

Wow, I am glad you tackled a scene a bit. I am honored. Well, I like how you broke down the mechanics of the events. This is something that they would definitely discuss, thats for sure.

Very cool.

Thank you for the work big time.

Hopefully I will get this plot breakdown up with some more character background information and a quick attention grabbing scene when I get more time.

Been really busy at work lately.

Anyways, thank you again for the work.

It is deeply appreciated.

:)
