Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Was just charged for the next set of ships. Eaglemoss charged me the $87 again so that means issues #90, 91, 92 and 93 will arrive soon. Anyone else been getting 4 ships each month like I have these last 2 months? What issue are our UK friends at?

Don't think I've ever gotten 4 ships at a time. I did get charged and received a notification for the Jellyfish early last week but it still hasn't arrived yet. :(

Subscribers got #92 & 93 in their last delivery, #93 will be out in shops this Thursday for non-subscribers.

92 & 93 are Medusan ship and ESC Fortunate, and going by chatter on youtube reviews and the facebook page, it's probably the lamest twosome so far. Many have said it's exactly ships like this why they've stopped subscribing and are cherry picking from now on instead. And indeed the next one, 94 the Suliban cell ship, only enforces that more. I thought the Holoship was a boring choice for Eaglemoss...

It's the ECS Horizon. The fortunate was one of the best models they have released.

I actually want the Horizon, but I generally have no interest in the ships created by CBS digital for the Remastered Blu-Rays and rebroadcast. Simply put they are the only ships that in no way shape or form were created with no knowledge or guidance from the art department, producers, or Venders that worked on Star Trek.

They are all low resolution models that offer little to collectors.

I personally want the Cell Ship, it was a significant ship on Enterprise. Quite possibly the ship with the most appearances besides the NX-01 and the Shuttlepods of course.

But in truth I think what I would rather have had them do was to put the Suliban Cell ship with 3 other alien shuttles and relate them as a Alien Shuttle pack.

I wasn't a fan of the Holoship, because it seems like a generic freighter. If it was a generic freighter I would be happy with it (I want more of the Freighters made). Frankly I never really understood the logic of the ship and its purpose. They were going to use it to replicate the landscape so that the residents didn't know they were being moved. But they would still have ball rendered unconscious at the same time to be transported to the ship. Why then not just render everyone unconscious and rewake them after being resettled???? Seems like adding an unneeded extra step.

As opposed to distant background kit-bashed garbage like the Yeager? ;)

I doubt it. We'll see the air tram from TMP before the Argo jeep.
I think many more fans would recognize the kit bash Yeager then V'Ger. After all the Yeager was in several episodes with viewer levels of millions, how many people actually saw the directors version of Motion Picture?

Though I wish they weren't going to release it. But their seems to be much more interest in a ship that is recognizable as Starfleet then alien or other random vessels.

They were created by the Okudas with help from Dave Rossi.

Buuut there were £50 a piece. I paid £35 in the same shop for the DS/AA 1701.

Recently decided to start a subscription. Received the Enterprise D in January, then a Bird of Prey and Enterprise NX-01 in late February.

I was supposed to receive the original Enterprise Refit in there somewhere... emailed Eaglemoss and got a nice response from Carleigh that the E-Refit is out of stock, but they hope to send one to me soon.

I also received a flyer saying the magazine binder gift is on backorder and they'll send one when it becomes available.

Is this level of disorganization common? The ships look great so far, but I don't want to have to go three rounds with customer service every month.

You're very late to the party. Everyone has already drunk all the booze apart from the cheap cider into which someone has dropped a cigarette butt.

Give him a break. Not everyone was able to start a subscription right off the bat (I still can't), but everyone who does helps this collection to continue.

So we now know what ships we'll be getting into next year, including a couple I've been hoping to see for a while. There's still a couple not on the list that I hope they get around to (Groumall, Merchantman, Jem'Hadar battleship, Degra's ship), but this is a good start.

Agreed. The more people that buy into the system, it delivers a strong message to Eaglemoss saying that their collectors want to see the line continue. I don't really have a problem with the occasional ships that are kind of "feh" if it means I'll also be seeing all the Wolf 359 and most of the DS9 FrankenFleet ships. I say keep it coming in all its glory and the more the merrier!

Yes, with eaglemoss patience is a vurtue.

I have a good friend who was given an Eaglemoss subscription as a Christmas present by his wife.
Things are fairly chaotic right now- a bunch of charges and no real way of knowing which ships are being bought until they arrive.

This guy not only has a wife, but one who would actually buy him an subscription that will lead to their house being filled with model ships?

I don't care what the balance on his checking account says. This guy is the richest man in the world.

I haven't got any of these, but the jumbo Enterprise is really tempting. £50 seems like an awful lot of money. Is it four times bigger and better than the small ships?

Absolutely agree! The more new subscriptions to counteract the ones who have stopped means the collection can continue. I imagine it must be going alright for Eaglemoss since they have branched out to include larger ships, more shuttle sets, special order ships and magazines, etc. At least I think this is a positive and hopefully not them trying to throw out different types of things to purchase just to see if people will buy.

I think Eaglemoss is expanding on a successful line instead of flailing about trying to find sales...

I really wish they had gone the ship route with the Alien/Predator franchise instead of exclusively figures.
