Now the burning question - is the T'Pau going to be officially considered the Apollo class?

i'm loving the use of transparent plastic to simulate the lighting on the underside.
Is that how they got that look? I was wondering, ever since I first saw photos of it... Brilliant!

In retrospect, it doesn't make sense that an obviously Vulcan design would be named for a deity from Earth mythology. (I highly doubt they named the class after the being Kirk and crew encountered in "Who Mourns...")

But I'm highly excited about the Merchantman. Being Canadian, I doubt that we'll be getting that before about March. The T'Pau and Promelian battle cruiser wouldn't have been my first choices (Tin Man/Gomtuu even less so), but it's nice to see them doing more TNG ships-of-the-week instead of Voyager ones. I'll probably get at least the first two of those, plus the Merchantman. (Three down, five to go...)

^^^ they sure did!

That’s one era, and specifically design / look, I’d love to see a future Trek show set in...

:adore:

Heh... yeah the pink clothes (Kirk also wore a pink shirt under his burgundy tunic) and stupid-enormous collars really was not easy on the eyes.

Unfortunately, based on the wording, it does look like that's going to be the name for the class. Which always irritated me, because I'm pretty sure that was a mistake from the first edition of the Encyclopedia that somehow just took on a life of its own.

Nothing wrong with a pink shirt - Kirk carried it off. But the comedy collar was so bad they modified Chekov's costume to remove it during filming.
