not sure where trekcore got this, but

Eaglemoss has announced their ENTERPRISE-F coming this year!

Thank you for posting this. I can now die happy.

maybe they lied to get fans of their backs for the redesign.
John Eaves is too nice a guy to do that. He has survived through different regime changes probably because he is such an upstanding fellow who isn't outspoken on Trek's direction and definitely because he is a great artist. I hope him saying what he did hasn't got him in trouble. Since his posts were taken down I imagine someone said something to him and weren't happy.

Dang, got excited for a second at this picture.
Lonnie McAfee and I had a lot of fun working on the "Bonnie", we consulted with the original designer from Filmation and Trek starship designers like Doug Drexler and Rick Sternbach. They will always need new ships so maybe one day we will still get this in Eaglemoss form!

Here's a few other 'model' renderings:

It represents your fear of accidentally breaking off nimble components - nacelles are usually the most vulnerable parts - and being unable to fix it in any way.

Indeed. I broke one of the nacelles on my Equinox, not once, but twice. The K'T'inga too, though I was able to fix both.

problem is none of eaglemoss' TOS-era models have looked that good.

I suppose it can be tough due to the lack of surface texture, although I'm quite happy with my TOS-era Connie, as both the Enterprise and Defiant.

You know...if you you weren't warping them around the room, blasting them with imaginary antiproton beams, it might not be as big a problem!

I received a survey from Eaglemoss about potentially doing more ships in the XL line. Similar to the one that came out about extra specials a while ago. The choices about ones they were thinking about doing:

Romulan Warbird, Nebula class, Starfleet Runabout, Excelsior, Delta Flyer, Akira class, Prometheus class, Enterprise J, Klingon Bird of Prey, K’Tinga Class. There was also a write in section.

so there's been a change.

disco issue 3 is now the USS kerala and it's apparently due in september:

I have a feeling the Discovery-line won't be as successfull as the main line...
September is a long time. I think it's a good choice to start with a Federation design again for which there is lots of interest. The redesigned Enterprise will be a major draw as well.

But beyond that, I think the Discovery ships simply aren't that much sought after as the classic ships. We spent years and years obsessing over most of them. DIS simply swamps the place with new ships. But most of them (especially the klingons) aren't that well liked in the first place, and I think it won't be too easy to convince lots of people to buy every background ship from the battle of the binary stars...

Then again, I could be totally wrong. People are still buying Wold 359 ships.
Also IMO it depens upon what S2 will give us. If they start with a few strong designs early on, interest in ship models might hold longer than I suspect.

Aw, man. I was super excited for this model. It doesn't look bad. In no way. But I hoped for a bit...more? Maybe more detail?

It looks like it may be a case of ENT-Vulcan ships for me: I love those! But the models were just too... bare(?) for me, so I skipped them.

Still, I think it's amazing what this collection accomplished! I never in my life thought we could get models of almost all starships that ever appeared on Star Trek!

I feel it's almost over, there's almost no ship design left I can think of that would interest me. But this collection is fan-fucking-tastic! It allowed me to posess the most obscure designs (the Romulan drone and bird of prey from ENT, the future version of the Equinox) which I never thought would be revisited ever, as well as pretty great representations of my favourite starships (might not be perfect, but I like their Ent-A model, and love it that I now have a hand-sized Ent-E,...). All for a pretty affordable prize.

Very nice work!

Although, it sets off my OCD that those Star Trek Logs aren’t in numerical order, lol

the romulan warbird is the only one of those that really piques my interest. but i'm clearly alone in that...

you're right, there's probably a much smaller market for the discovery collection. but i don't even like star trek: discovery all that much and i'm really happy to get these ships simply because i haven't spent years obsessing over them. they're exciting and new. sometimes hideous and new. but still new.

You can choose more than one.

Went for Akira, 1701-J, Prometheus, and added my personal wet dream USS Equinox.
