Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Well I was just charged for the next duo of ships. Issues #100 & #101 should be on the way soon!

I was just got the notification these were shipped as well. However, this month was supposed to be 98 & 99 for me.

It's a well known problem. I've seen many discussions on FB. The stand barely holds the model at all. It's as if it's for a different model or as if it's supposed to go the opposite way (which it doesn't).
Does it go in the other way? From the front?
Now I'm really confused, because putting it on the stand backwards actually almost fits. Which of the sides is supposed to be the front? The cover of the magazine has it with the supposed “back” pointing forward. But in the episodes I remember it moving forward with the long end in front. Weird.

Update: Just came across collector on Instagram and Facebook, bobmats343, who actually makes and sells decals (applied when wet) for Eaglemoss ships. Special attention goes to labelling the Intrepid ("NV-01"), Warp Delta/Ganges class (mirror!), and USS Relativity.
Yeah, those are neat. I got the Antares decal set, because even though I love the ship's design, the model itself is missing all the markings and signs. The decals are cool, but applying them is kind of a hassle (always hated fidgeting with those, even back when I was building models as a child) and from some angles you can see that they aren't the original decals (they kind of reflect the light differently because of the transfer paper). But all in all it looks way better.

:shrug:That's how I remember it also. That's how it's shown in Memory-Alpha and Memory-Beta. And that's how John Eaves designed it apparently.

I was thinking of buying DS9 off the webshop, and I've been told that the issue with the bottom docking pylons curving inwards and not lying flat on surfaces has actually been resolved, that it was an issue with the styrofoam packing. Is anyone able to confirm this? It's really the only thing holding me back from one of my favourite stations, the idea that they made the bottom pylons curve inwards for...what reason? Why don't they like flat like the top ones would? Unless it wasn't a wide-spread issue with this model, only one or two, of course...

Also, looking at one review of the Raven...does anyone else have an issue with their nacelles angling upwards at the back? That is, not being completely parallel with the rest of the ship? It might just be the one review I'm looking at, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Mine doesn't do that.

On mine both the top and bottom pylons curve in slightly, so the tops of the docking ports don't sit parallel to the surface. A little annoying but it isn't drastic, so it looks ok. I'm not sure if it's been corrected or not on later releases.

Could be individual. On my SS Yorktown, one nacelle is tilted, whereas on the other Connie models the nacelles are parallel.

Same Here. What is strange is I never got an email about my last special and then TOS Enterprise showed up? Then last week I get an email that the Jelly Fish will be charged soon!

I got issues 100, 101, and the giant TOS-E "special" in the mail last week. I should have received 98, 99, and the Franklin instead. If my count is accurate, I'm missing 7 of the last 13 ships in the running order. Last I heard some back orders were due to come into stock in American warehouses in July, so I guess I'll call and get updated, I hope.

Interested to hear what they say. July 25 came and went and still no Vahlkass or E-J like was supposed to happen.

Anyone in the US even have the Franklin yet? I've never seen the email on it and I cancelled the oversized TOS E before getting it a second time.

Ben Robinson's Twitter is busy with possible model ideas but nothing solid.

The ideas include: Borgified Voyager; all Fed ships but tug ("A Time to Stand") is tricky; Conestoga was only seen on a screen but re-confirmed Enterprise-C concept and Phase II Enterprise.

It's mental that we're getting a model of the "photo on a wall" Enterprise! Looks like a lovely model. I'm still not sure where it's supposed to fit in with Star Trek history though. Late 21st century?
