Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I should have kept it on emails. I've always gotten better results than direct phone calls.

Another Update: I have completely stumped the Floor Supervisor. She said that, if I've opted in to all specials, I will receive ALL Shop Exclusives and Limited Edition items. And yet, the TOS 11-inch Enterprise is the FIRST time this has ever been the case and I've had to purchase all Exclusives and LE's separately, outside of the subscription, since the very beginning of when subscriptions were made available.

Something's changed - someone set a new policy and a lot of people are gonna be pissed when they get double-tapped, thinking they had to get it separately as an "exclusive", only to get it again as a "special".

Now she's saying it's something going on at the warehouse. She's forwarding my information on and I might get a call tomorrow.

I didn't even get into the whole "Platinum Subscription" bullshit.

Ugh...what a nightmare. This is, by far, the worst experience I've had with Eaglemoss. Such a shame, such a good product

At least I got a release date for 88 & 89 (Vahklass & E-J): June 25!

Jesus - I was on the phone about this for 1:14:50. Way too long. Glad it was an 800 number and don't have usage charges.
Sorry you had to go through all that even though I still don't really understand what they are now going to be shipping out automatically... "exclusives", "specials", "limited editions", etc.!! Luckily I've not had any issues so far and have received each and every ship up to #98 & #99 as well as the "specials" up to the Franklin (actually that one at the end of June). I've separately ordered from their web store the two I.S.S. ships, Shuttle Set 1, NX-01 Special Edition, all the plaques, the jumbo TOS-E and the Yorktown.

Am I now in danger of Eaglemoss sending those to me in the future?! None of this makes a lot of sense and is still very unclear.

It is quite possible now, yes, based on their new definition of "special". Hopefully, if/when I speak to someone at the warehouse, I can get a clearer picture of what's going on.

However, if you've already gotten the Franklin, I'm now assuming you're not in the US? If so, you may be immune from this. I think this problem is unique to US people. I don't think anyone in other markets have been double-tapped on he oversize TOS E, but I could be wrong. I at least succeeded in cancelling this one.

Will definitely post here when I get more information. Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow.

I'm here in the good ol' USA. I haven't received the Franklin yet just got the email saying this "special" will be charged and shipped at the end of June. I haven't received any emails about the oversized TOS-E "special" which I'm hoping doesn't happen as I already ordered and received that one months ago direct from the Eaglemoss shop.

Also, I did receive the Rhode Island and Arctic One today so next month will be issue #100 for me!

Finally received my steamrunner a year to the month over due and the TOS klingon K7 as well as my regular delivery. Also got a letter stating that the Kelvin will be coming with my next delivery which I will have to cancel as I bought that on Ebay thinking that Australia was no longer going o be getting the specials (it's been a year and a half since the last one). I'm now only down the saber and the borg renegades ship.

Also received a letter offering a permanent 10% discount for the graphic novels collection. It was tempting but I don't really have an interest in it and I'm planning on getting the BSG collection when that finally starts.

It is messes like this that make me glad I do not have a subscription- I just buy the ships I want when I find a good deal.
I do think it would be wonderful to get them sent to me when they are released as with a subscription, but this is just too chaotic. Personally I think Eaglemoss was taken by surprise by the popularity and sales volume of the Trek replica line. They seem to be juggling production runs and rethinking the subscription model on the fly, trying to adjust for what is really happening.
They do make a fantastic product and one I am extremely grateful for, but reading posts like above make me happy I just enjoy their product and do not have to deal with them much (outside Eaglemoss sending me a weird Winnie-the-Pooh food mold instead of a starship...)

They really did a nice job with that. The "canopy coffin box" in the back looks dead-on.

For anyone who's wondering what I'm referring to, the pod on this ship is kitbashed using a canopy from a Tomy'tomics Treadmaster toy kit from 1987. You can see it on some of the pics and videos, made of a clear smoked plastic. The pod was also used one of the Melbourne/Nebula variant study models, although I don't know if it will make it to the Eaglemoss version that's being planned for a later issue.

So now that the 100th issue has been released we're 15 months away from the end of the collection as it is now. Does anyone know the likelihood of an extension of the regular issue? I read somewhere that the discovery issues will be a separate line much like the mirror ships which to me feels like they are either trying to get the ships out their before the series finishes or they're not sure if they'll get an extension but still want to do them.

Given how many extra lines are in the making or were made - Specials, Mirror, Shuttles, Jumbo, Convention, Non-Canon, and now the NCC-1764 - I seems like the line is running well and likely to receive another extension.

Unsurprisingly, I never received the call from the warehouse to explain the oddities of specials I cited in earlier posts - guess I'm just going to have to manually cancel the ones I already get as "shop exclusives" - but one thing the person I talked to did say, and maybe I mis-heard it, but the line sounded like it was extended to 170 issues! Can anyone else confirm or deny this number? It's impressively high, compared to what's already been put out there up until now.

Whats the NCC - 1764?

TOS Defiant, I would assume.

Yes, thank you. I aimed to avoid ambiguity with the NX-74205, and sometimes I use the registry when I'm too lazy to italicise the ship name.

Just when you think they'll run out of ideas, there's still tons more they haven't announced yet. The Borg "coffin" Probe, Think Tank, Degra's Ship, Fesarius, Jem'Hadar Battleship, to name a few...

...Keldon class, SS Conestoga, Type 8 shuttle, Tholian web-spinner, Starbase 375, Son'a battleship, USS Bozeman, Devore warship, to add a few others.

Don't forget the Merchantman!

You guys still collecting these? Wow. I had to stop dozens of issues ago due to the sheer amount of space needed to display them. You must all have big homes :)
