Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I picked up the Fed Scoutship the other day. Always nice to have another Starfleet ship, though this one's basically a shuttle, so not as exciting as a starship.
They did a good job on it. Not much else to say.
It would look great next to the Enterprise-E shuttle. I say would as if they do do that one it will no doubt be part of their mini little shuttle sets, and then be tiny in comparison to the Scout Ship model...

Speaking of shuttles, I just pre-ordered the Shuttles Vol. 2 box set. $100 seems a bit steep, but the OCD completionist in me MUST havez Teh Precious. :)

That shuttle - the Type-11 - is already planned for the 3rd shuttle set, together with Argo shuttle, TMP travel pod and work bee.

The Insurrection "Scout Ship" always kind of confused me. When we think of "scout-class wessels", we think of something the size of a B'Rel class Bird of Prey, or something with "a dozen officers and men". The "Scout Ship" seemed to be a one-person vessel. Not even really enough room for passengers, making it smaller to a shuttle. So would it be considered more in the same class of small ships as TNG's one-person "shuttle pod"? I guess the Runabout also kind of blurs the lines too. It's one of the largest "small vessels" in all of Trek and seems to be considerably more versatile and feature-rich than most shuttles. Very confusing...

I could see a runabout on patrol or neighbourhood survey missions with a permanent crew of 4.

Not sure about the mission scout. In ST: Armada, the Venture-class has a crew of 10.

Someone on Facebook posted this:

On the sixth of Feb I asked the question on the Star trek starships page , 'Could Ben advise us of the ships from issue 101 upwards as we are now roughly up to issue 93', Someone from Eaglemoss asked me to pm them with my details and surprise this is the response I got 101...Bajorian freighter...102....Klingon D5 103...Vidian..104....Jenolian...105 Smugglers ship...106..Kazon warship...107...Klingon attack Bop...108...Cheyenne class..109...Borg queen....110...Springfield class ..111...Capt protons rocket ship...112...Nebula class Phoenix...113....Lokirrim fighter...114....Challenger class...and 115 Tellarite

If it's true there are some real must-haves (for me at least) there!

Don't really care for collecting busts. Full figures maybe but not busts. I suppose their Star Trek line of merchandise is doing well since they have started the comic book series, the ship line of course and now a bust lineup. Hope they don't spread themselves too thin as I want the ship line to keep going strong for a lot longer.

Eaglemoss's Star Trek busts poll:

Not sure if the link will work from every locality.

Thanks. It worked fine for me also.

101...Bajorian freighter...102....Klingon D5 103...Vidian..104....Jenolian...105 Smugglers ship...106..Kazon warship...107...Klingon attack Bop...108...Cheyenne class..109...Borg queen....110...Springfield class ..111...Capt protons rocket ship...112...Nebula class Phoenix...113....Lokirrim fighter...114....Challenger class...and 115 Tellarite

Assuming this is correct, I'm definitely buying issues #102 Klingon D5 battlecruiser, #104 USS Jenolan, #107 Klingon Bird-of-Prey (attack position), #108 Cheyenne class, #110 Springfield class, #111 Captain Proton's rocketship, #112 Nebula class USS Phoenix and #114 Challenger class.

As they source the items from factories in China, that's not so much the problem as is buyer fatigue. I might be interested in acquiring busts of the TOS big three but not really otherwise -- Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov perhaps. The Borg Queen and the Gorn -- no thanks.

I can't remember whether I've asked this before, but has anyone gotten anyone to sign the magazines?

Besides obviously getting any of the main casts to sign the mags for their respective "hero" ships, it might be neat to have them sign one for a ship connected to their character.

You could get Gates McFadden to sign the Pasteur magazine, Robert O'Reilly or J.G. Hertzler to sign one of the Klingon ships (or the Saratoga, for that matter), Jeffrey Combs could sign the Andorian ship or Jem'Hadar battle cruiser, and so on.

^ for a long while at least, #115 takes us right up to January 2018 (UK street dates)

The Wolf 359 ships stand out for me in that list (if true) and definitely the D5 at last. Other than that the Jenolan and Lokirrim would be nice, see how they do the Borg Queen's Diamond.
But yeah I'd love a Son'a cruiser (over the different design Ru'afo's ship)
And the Hazari ship from VOY: Think Tank, which I think was in one of the original press releases for the collection but still hasn't shown up
