Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I wish I had the extra cash to start collecting these ships. Maybe sometime in the near future I can splurge a little.... I've already started spending money on Batman:The Animated Series swag (including a 2 foot long batmobile replica I got for christmas.) In the meantime, I'll have to settle for my Diamond Select/Playmates ships from all three shows. It's modest and there are screwholes galore, but it gets the job done.........for now :P

For some reason us livin in Australia haven't been getting any for awhile(well I haven't),even their shop haven't made any other issues avaible

I picked up the Borg Sphere from a local comics store last week. They're closing down at the end of the month, so I'll probably go in this week and get the last one there I don't have: The 23rd C. Klingon BoP (even though it still bugs me that the wings aren't swept on that one).

The sphere isn't my favorite one and I kind of wish they'd made it look more like the "First Contact" one (which I think looks better), rather than the ones from "Voyager", though I understand why they would've gone with the latter, being CG. I'm also not clear on why there are holes for the stand on both the top and bottom. I've read that one of those is supposed to be an entrance hatch, but both of them?

Still, a good model to have. I'm pretty happy with it.

Has anyone gotten the Fed fighter or the Breen ship yet? I *really* want both of those!

Not yet. Only just recently got the Norway/Budapest and Voth Research Vessel a couple of weeks ago. The fighter & Breen ship are about 3-4 months away for us in the 'States.

I'm actually in Canada, so I won't get them any sooner than you. I was just curious if anyone had them yet. I'd see review videos on YouTube. so some places have them.

Well I was just charged for my next shipment but I was again charged $87.60 which means four ships. However, I already have up to issue #64 which is the Phoenix. If this is correct they should be sending me issues #65-68 with #68 being the Federation Fighter. Yet I thought the Fed fighter wouldn't be coming out until May here in the US. I'll know for sure once the actual shipping email is sent which has lately been within a few days of the invoice.

Did you order the NX01 refit? That might be what's extra on the order.

Nope. The total amount is the exact same as last month's shipment with contained four ships. Back in December I had called them asking them to accelerate my orders to "catch-up" to the latest releases and have been receiving four ships each month since then.

Just received the shipping and tracking notification and it does include the following:

ST65 x 1 - Xindi-Aquatic Cruiser
ST66 x 1 - SS Raven
ST67 x 1 - Klingon D7
ST68 x 1 - Federation Fighter

Again, I didn't think the Fed fighter was coming out yet in the States but this says otherwise. I'm looking forward to the D7 the most. Such an iconic design.

Is there a way to update your credit card information on the Eaglemoss site or do you have to call their customer service?

I always call. I don't think I've ever seen a mechanism to update the cc info on their site. It's not very intuitive to navigate.

I got the Federation Fighter btw seen as t_smitts was asking. It's ok, I love the Dominion War battle scenes so definitely wanted all the ships from those (well, I don't have the Cardassian Hidecki tbh.) The model is ok.. just the detailing is pretty bland, basically it's all very one shade of grey all over.

Much more looking forward to the Breen Warship which should be out this week, one I've been waiting for since the start of the collection.

I got the Klingon Bird of Prey the other day, from a comics store that was shutting down. (It was the last model there that I didn't already have).

I may have mentioned this before, but it's really disappointing that they chose to have it with the wings straight out, rather than swept under (like the 22nd century BoP would be). I think this ship would've been perfect, if not for that. We saw the wing swept far more than straight, and having the wings out like they are makes the ship look a lot flatter.

What do you think?

Actually I prefer the wings straight out configuration, idealy they would have made them movable, then this would probably my favourite model.
