If you want to beat a dead horse, Ebert gave Next Day Air three stars!!
Not to mention a 4/4 for Knowing.
Damn, 2 bad reviews had changed the ratio to 221 Fresh to 11 Rotten, bringing us down to 95%

No problem. The film's clearly a rare breed in that it's both critically acclaimed AND a box-office smash hit.

He also liked CARNOSAUR and BENJI:THE HUNTED. Two films that probably rendered me sterile and I don't know it yet. That's not just a jokey reference from the mid-90s cartoon THE CRITIC. He liked both of those turds.

I don't know about the rest of you, but that's dang impressive for a Star Trek movie.....any movie for that matter! Yes I am a Trek fan but as a movie overall, I haven't seen anything that good since The Dark Knight. I hear a sequel has already been green-lit from Paramount. One thing's for certain, there is a very bright future for Star Trek! This also brings up an interesting conversation as far as a new TV series. Do you think a new series is a good possibility for the near future?

I just can't see a television series as sustainable based on the foundation this "movie" has created. To attract and keep the audience that this film has inspired would unsustainable. The pace is too frenetic.
Besides, if JJ Abrams were producing he'd be killing off characters left and right. I'd like nothing more than to be proven wrong but I can't see it happening.
