Star Trek Retcons

Okay I'm hoping somebody could explain this one to me.

In TNG's Time Squared the warp 10 barrier was established on screen for the first time. But in All Good Things the Enterprise was capable of warp 15. Then in VOY's Threshold the warp 10 barrier is back so could some one tell me what was going on there, because this has always buged me.

I always thought the warp scale was redone. Just like from TOS to TNG.

In TOS, it's simply a factor of taking a warp factor, cubing it, then multiplying the result times the speed of light. In TNG, the scale is totally different, approaching Warp 10 asymptotically. Not too much of a stretch to assume they could restructure the warp scale *again* some time later.

Then again, the entirety of AGT's "future" was an illusion created by Q, so what's the point? ;)

Well considering that the All Good Things uniforms were used everytime the future was shown (DS9's the Visitor and VOY's Endgame) I wouldn't be to sure about that.
