One miniscule nitpick I haven't seen mentioned (so thought I would) is that there were a small handful of times in the pilot where the color correction wasn't aligned properly with the shot. That is to say; one shot would cut to the next, and the color grading from the first shot would hold over onto the first frame of the next shot. It's minor, but still good to catch all these little blips to look extra professional.
On of the problems we had was Camera A was shooting a bit more overexposed than Camera B. They thought this would be an easy correction in post, but you could still notice a difference. Like everything else this is not a mistake we intend on making again.
BTW, Andy Probert (who is a member here also) has joined our team as well.

with all these actors, does the Renegades team hire first and then try to shoe-horn them all into a script or are there actual script ideas that necessitate all these characters? Should I assumed not everyone (Beltran, Farrell, Eisenberg, Lofton, etc.) will be in the next episode but rather spread out over the next few? After all, you can spoil a good soup with too many ingredients.
Depends on which character they're playing. As far as Terry Farrell, I doubt she'll be reprising the role of Jadzia Dax.
Gotta admit I thought that pilot was, for the most part, a let down....and I agree with those highlighting the writing as one of the issue. Nonetheless I am impressed at the lack of arrogance in the production circles and most of what has been detailed here sounds very promising indeed.
I have a feeling that she'll be under prosthetics, but is is wonderful that Terry is returning after so long.
Totally agree with your lack of arrogance comment. Renegades folks here have taken criticism constructively. I've added my share of wishes and wants- so I won't add any more-

Please read the Kickstarter carefully! They say they are asking for $350,000 to fund episode 2 and 3, but if you read down the page, the funds are just going to pre-production of the episodes. If they don't reach their stretch goal of $800,000, they will need to do another HUGE Kickstarter to fund post production. This is an outrage considering that other fan films are doing full episodes with less than $50,000. The production team and the Actors are lining their pockets and laughing all the way to the bank. I gave to the last Kirkstarter and was very disappointed at the final product. Had they put the money they raised into the actual film instead of their bank accounts, they may have had a great film. There's no way they need 400K to fund one episode!! You’ve been warned.

Basically the cost for us to do each 44 minute episode has been budgeted at 400k to 500k on average. It is a bit more for episode 2 because we have build the sets (that we can then use in subsequent episodes to reduce costs)
- Production cost for Episode 2 is the Kickstarter minimum goal of 350K.
- Post production for Episode 2 is 200k
- Total for Episode 2 is 550k
- Production for Episode 3 is 300k
- Post production for Episode 3 is 150k
- Total for Episode 3 is $450k
- Total to complete both episodes (90 minutes total runtime) is 950k
- We have a final (optional) stretch goal of 100k more to build a brand new Icarus bridge.
Our goal with this Kickstarter is to get at least 600k so we can shoot Episodes 2 and 3 back to back (which will speed up production time) . If we can't get that much on this drive we will have to shoot episode 2 first, then run another drive to get the remain funds to shoot episode 3.
Bottom line, 950k to do both episodes.

We want to shoot either this January or February and release Episode 2 in Summer 2016, if we can shoot Episode 3 at the same time, hopefully 3 will be out in Fall 2016.

Tom, Thanks for clearing that up for me. It's even worse than I originally thought! It appears that a huge part of the money is going to pay the Actors (which is most of the production team). This seems, to me, like a vehicle just to make money. Can you tell me if the Actors are making scale and is the production SAG signatory? I have read that none of the other fan films pay their actors, because they do it out of love for the franchise. At some point, CBS will likely look at this payment as profit and they may ask for a full accounting of all your expenses. Renegades and Axanar may just kill fan films forever, and that will be a sad day.

You have been grossly misinformed.
We have to pay the actors or we find non-Sag actors and do it cheaper. One of the staples of our productions is the majority of the actors have to be professional, that just the way we do it.
We made the pilot for about $400k and we still had cost overruns, an that costs us time, that's why we budgeted a little bit higher this time around.
I cant speak for Axanar, but the budget for our episodes are pretty reasonable for the scale we want to work at.
Lastly, nobody is forcing anyone to donate, its a choice plain and simple.

I am looking forward to seeing your future efforts, guys. One of the biggest sticking points I had was with the story, and by bringing Melinda Snodgrass on board, it's clear you were paying attention to such concerns. I can't wait to see what you do next!
