Star Trek: Renegades

Yes it was not CBS, they said they had nothing to do with it. What stinks is that page had over 3000 'likes' on it. We are still pressing Facebook as to why it was removed and for them to restore it. Even though we have the other account, it is a 'personal' class of account created help advertise STR and not the proper 'page' type account. If we can't get Facebook to restore it, we will make another 'Page' account.

Grant Imahara will take a break from inventing cool robotics and blowing up stuff to join the cast of Renegades!

Grant is one of the hosts of Discovery Channel's Mythbusters. Before that, he spent nine years as an animatronics engineer and model maker for George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic. Grant worked on many blockbusters including The Matrix sequels, Galaxy Quest, Terminator 3, and Star Wars: Episodes 1-3 (although he is NOT responsible for Jar Jar). He put the lights in R2-D2's dome and gave the Energizer Bunny his beat. He also created the often rude and irreverent robot skeleton sidekick for late night talk show host Craig Ferguson.

Grant will play an aide to Admiral Chekov.

This isn't Imahara's first role in a Star Trek fanfilm. He also plays Sulu in Star Trek: Continues.

It's a dang shame as it was great resource for news on Renegades, just sitting there going through Facebook then a casting update or something would pop up. Getting closed down is a sucker for publicity I think.

Epecially now as 2013 is about to start, and the months counting down to the shoot.

Looking forward very much to more info!

Yes it should be an exciting year for Star Trek with JJ's new movie, renegades, Phase 2 episodes, Axanar, Continues & Farragut, Polaris? and much more!!

Trekweb.com has posted this photo from Star Trek: Renegades, which they've simply called "starship bridge":
renegades_bridge.jpg

That looks like a Nova-class ship on the MSD at the back, so it's unlikely to be the "derelict" hero ship. I'm not too crazy about the off-the-shelf office chairs, but hopefully they'll be modified a bit or it'll be shot in such a way they're not quite so obvious.

isn't that the set from a fanfilm made years ago?

that was subsequently demolished.

and in another country.

I think you are right. It looks like an image for a student production done in the UK years ago.

We have not built any sets yet. I'm not sure where that pic comes from, must be a joke of some type.

its from page three of this thread! its a set from star trek hyperion that jonny made for a uni class project. lol someone should ask trek web to check their facts.

My guess is someone skimmed though this thread and thought that it was from STR with out reading the thread. I have asked Gustavo to remove it from Trekweb.. UGH

It's like that Commerical.. 'They can't post anything on the internet that isn't true' ... 'where did you hear that?'... 'The Internet' LOL
