Star Trek: Prodigy Finds New Home At Netflix

Well, I'm certainly glad Prodigy found a new home at Netflix.
I just hope it survives PAST Season 2 (Netflix unfortunately has a history of cancelling really good shows after just 1 or 2 seasons).
I'd be happy with Prodigy getting at least 4 or 5 seasons (doesn't need to be full 7... but wouldn't it be great if it did?).

It would be great if it was never cancelled too.

But, I'd rather it be cancelled and leave me wanting more, than staying on for 7 seasons and it feeling like a drag.

The Hagemans do have plans for a potential season 3, at least. Lasting for 7 seasons would be difficult without getting stale though, I think. The inspiration to do something new with the same characters lessens after a while.

There should be material for 4 or 5 seasons though, if the numbers on Netflix are good. Which is difficult though.

Well, that's me heading back to Netflix then. I've been missing watching Prodigy since it got taken off P+, and since Netflix still has plenty of Trek content in my country, I may as well ditch Paramount until SNW comes back, whenever that ends up being.

Bring on more Prodigy! (and a season 3 as well, please and thank you, haha)

Hurrah! You can find me twirling in circles in my own little celebration! Can’t wait to see everyone again!!!

Exciting news!

I like to think that Netflix wouldn't have agreed to bring it back without plans for a third season, but even if that doesn't happen, at least we'll get to see season 2.

If there IS a Season 3, they'll probably cut it back to the usual Netflix Ten (eps per season).

They're cutting off Stranger Things after S5.

Well, it looks like I shall be subscribing to Netflix now instead of Paramount+

If SNW doesn’t get a season 3, I’ll be dropping my P+. I don’t care about DSC, SFA, the Section 31 movie or LDS. None of that crap is good enough to keep my subscription. I’ll be happy just to watch PRO on a steaming service I already pay for.

I was excited for this news up until they mentioned that Canada is excluded from the deal and Prodigy will be going back to Crave. I *just* cancelled my Crave. Ugh.

I already have Netflix so I will watch it. But I wouldn't have signed up for another streaming service just for Prodigy.
