Star Trek/Planet of the Apes crossover

Even though it is not TNG that is the poor performer, it's just uninspired storytelling that is the issue.

You do know that the possibility exists that comic readers simply aren't that interested in TNG in general?

Of course. Just pointing out that stronger stories can help sales because of the word of mouth of fans. Unfortunately the recent TNG comics have been nothing to truly brag about.

Again, the Dana Gould essay in the back was the best part of this issue for me. Another interesting Ape/Trek connection.

5years on finally checked this out via reasonable priced graphic novel (thanks Eaglemoss).. overall abit convoluted/implausible even for a scifi crossover (
c'mon theres no way Taylor wouldve refused Kirks offer to go back with them at the end!.. and the last bit of the slingshot around sun move being responsible for Escape..like they needed that when there was whatever Taylor/Brent came through
) .. but it was damn fun! - the artwork was awesome/great likenesses, all the characters were on point (crazed Taylor was spot on Heston), fun stuff like the Kirk v Taylor shirt rip and Trek V binoculars, the tie-in to Beneath/Escape, all that was missing was a cameo from Armando :D
