Spoilers Star Trek Picard Season 2 Hopes and Predictions

I don't want Picard escalate into a cheap gay or lesbian show..... Nice character developments, yeah. Superficial hook-ups - just no.
Yes I would prefer nice character developments so I hope they dont drop the ball on that. But barring that bc it seems like they're not doing a good job with the het devlopments then yes hook ups.

Agreed.

Of course I don't want it to escalate into a cheap straight show, either.

Whatever they do with R/7, I hope they don't drop the ball on this developing naturally, after the rather sudden hand thing. And I personally hope for no more addiction drama...

Not gonna lie, "Future Imperfect" Picard is peak Picard. The uniform was super cool too.

Agreed. He's complete and utter perfection.

So today is Janeway's birthday right? I might lite of this in another thread last night and the discussion moved to why people don't like her. And I pointed out that her changing history altered the lives of like half the galaxy.

So this got me thinking.

The "why" of Romulus's destruction has never really been explored. The novelverse has some theories as does STO and, as far as I can remember both imply it initially had something to do with the Romulans messing with tech they didn't understand. Well, Picard has already established that the Romulans have been salvaging derelict ships - one can assume these were left there after Voyager destroyed the transwarp network. So what if the Rommies found some kind of solar-related tech on one of the cubes and caused the nova themselves.

Then, paging through data from the cube she grabbed, Seven finds out about this and comes to a realization: That everything that's happened in the Beta Quadrant - why it's become such a clusterfuck - is because Janeway went back in time to save her life.

I honestly think it will be a personal journey, not a big STNG reunion...though there will be some guest stars.

If you had told me any TNG continuation of any kind would be happening in 2020 I'd have said you were crazy 3 years ago. Glad I was wrong about a few small things.

RAMA

Just did a rewatch, and, alas, I'm kind of more interested in some of the side-characters/plots than I am most of the central cast at this point. So my wishlist:
- Hugh lives
- Hugh and Geordi reunion (or Beverly, I'd be OK with her saving him a second time)
- more xB exploration (hopefully that'll give Elnor and Seven something to do)
- more on the Fenris Rangers
- more Laris and Zhaban, pls?

I think Seven might have some problems in season 2 caused by her integration with the Borg cube in order to pilot it which might lead her to reconnecting with the Borg collective and start to revert to her Voyager era more Borg like personality.

I think so too. The cube that made her into a Borg queen temporarily let her go, but I'm thinking it's not the last we will be seeing of that plot point.

Season 2 outline:

Janeway shows up and starts cleaning house in starfleet, firing people left and right. Clancy fights back and starts digging into Janeway's past and finds a Manila envelope with the word Tuvix on it. Picard and crew must journey to the delta quadrant in a race against Clancy to discover the true meaning of Tuvix.

Meanwhile Admiral Jellico (Ronny Cox) teams up with Admiral Pressman (Terry O'Quinn) to settle an old score with Riker once and for all
