It’s PROBABLY nothing but over on Kitty Ann Swink’s Twitter feed there is a recent picture of her with Michael Dorn. What caught my eye is that he’s currently sporting a goatee that seems a bit… Worf-ish (though the beard is now as white as the snow). Could he have grown it out for filming an appearance on Picard (presumably for season 3)? Or perhaps just trying out a new look?

Been rewatching the first season in anticipation of the new one, and it really has solidified for me that this is my favourite of any of the new Treks. Warts and all.

The lack of Chabon is a real shame, but I'm excited for what's coming regardless. Legacy characters are fun, but I hope they don't neglect the new cast they've built too much 'cause I think they've got a load of potential.

Ha, I actually really love Narissa, but I realise I'm in a tiny, tiny minority of people who do. I just like that she's unapologetically awful to everyone and it helps that Peyton List is a stone cold fox.

I don't want to spread negativity across the internet, especially when I'm talking about Star Trek, so I'll say that I enjoyed the rest of Star Trek: Picard even more than I liked Narissa, including the repeated eye trauma, the unearned deaths and whatever was going on with Bjayzl.

I suppose real life ships don't keep the same furnishings, fittings and room arrangement inside for the whole duration of their service.

I rarely notice this stuff. I saw a video on YouTube about differences between the Discovery bridge over the seasons but when I watch Star Trek I'm looking at the people, not the walls.

Same. There is a reason why character differences will stand out, while set changes will not. It simply doesn't register because it isn't that important to me. The reason I don't like Generations or TNG, for that matter, has nothing to do with the look, and everything to do with my engagement with the characters.

My guess is other than the main cast coming back there will be basically zero threads which carry from Season 1 to 2, considering much of Season 2 seems to take place in either alternate timelines or the past.
