i hadn't seen this news. but i can't be the only one here who thinks rios is a dead man right? rios will die and picard will take command.

The prediction that I've been making is that flesh-and-blood Rios will perish but he'll live on through a fusion of the two holograms, thus expounding upon the themes of synthetic life.

But who knows!

The La Sirena probably takes a beating at some point. Opening the door for Picard to take the captain's chair and install the EMH Mark I to replace the current (destroyed) Rios EMH.

I would love to see that. And not just any old EMH Mark I pulled out of a database somewhere, but the Voyager EMH still with his mobile emitter on his arm.
