I really don't think one can get in trouble for announcing that there is a new Trailer coming.
I'm pretty sure everybody kinda-sorta already assumed that there would be one anyway.

The thing I'm hoping we get at NYCC are dates. They said Short Treks would be premiering this fall. Well it's already October, so does that mean it's happening sooner rather than later. As for Picard, Hopefully some concrete dates on that too. I hope it happens a little after the beginning of the year.

Yeah, they have to be announcing the Short Treks soon and hopefully it will be at NYCC. My guess is they will be released bi-weekly instead of monthly starting in November.

We are in this weird two months of no Star Trek news. Probably the last 2 months for a very long time that will be quiet regarding Star Trek (considering their plan is to have new Star Trek on all the time).

• Riker and Troi
• A new surprise guest star?

If there are any more Trek veteran guest stars, at I think I'd rather they not announce them, and leave it as a surprise when they show up. We already know about Seven of Nine, Riker, and Troi, that's enough for me.

So Picard will be on a non-Starfleet ship... so I guess I guess we will get some arbitrary computer voice. Hopefully though when Picard is on earth or we are in Starfleet locations we will get the proper Majel Barrett computer voice.

At this point it probably wouldn't be that hard to just put together whatever you need the computer to say with bits and pieces from the other shows.

One would surmise that if They were going to use Majel's voice in DISCOVERY we would have heard it by now.
