Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

Posted on page 128 and he's still here bleating like a sheep with an overly lonely shepherd.

Nice to know you know the history of the thread. Good for you.

FYI, I was genuinely interested in that information. Not so much in the show anymore.

Of course. We all know the reasons. He wants to make it out that Stewart just did it for the money
Which is contraction to all the interviews Stewart had given.

the man has a net worth of around $70-$80m. He doesn’t have to work at all.

You think he did it out of fun?

Shatner doesn't need to work either. Yet he's more active than ever. And he charges for every autograph. Make no mistake, every cent counts, even if you have dozens of millions. And, sometimes, the richer one is, the greedier they are.

There now - you arrived at the answer you wanted by making up some numbers in your own head.

I'm not making anything up. It's an estimate based on an already publicly available information.

The story as told by Patrick is that Kurtzman and co. pitched the basic idea, but Patrick said no. He thought it over, and asked them to write a treatment and pitch it again, and then he agreed.

Probably after he was handed the paper with a much bigger, juicier figure on it. :-))

If all he wanted to do was make money he likeky could have signed on for another feature film and probably got more money for less work. You don’t think feature films were not calling him after Logan?

That's not very flattering to the seal.
I had to assume that Mr. Seal would be good with it, since according to parts of the current conversation in this thread, it's apparently OK to use Publicly Available Info to discredit other's personal intentions.
;)

I was under the impression this type of thread was more for observations and topics that couldn't sustain an entire thread on their own.

As it is, it looks like Dix is trying to keep pressing and pressing until someone says something he wants to hear. And won't stop until he does. No answer that doesn't meet with his approval is considered acceptable or accurate. In which case, that's not seeking the truth. That's seeking to bend reality to his whims. That's him seeking to draw conclusions where they can't be drawn. If you think everything everyone says is "false", from people involved with a show to fans of said show who have nothing to do with it, then why bother asking? Why go through the motions of asking when you've already pre-determined the answer?

I believe that there is a word included in the Forum Rules that would best describe what the intentions are...

Not much, I usually watch PIC at night!

Sunny and windy here, too. A couple of days ago it was snowing...
Yeah, 2am-EST is my go-to viewing time as well. :techman:

Thank goodness it hasn't snowed a significant amount here since the beginning of January.
We've had mostly rain with a coating or an inch of the white stuff.

I don't have to shovel rain and that makes me oh so happy!

I miss snow. We hardly got any this year.
Back in Dec. we got 3.5 feet in 24 hours.
That was more than enough for me to last the entire season.
We still have two more months that could bring significant snow to the Northeast.
:(

Not enough to hinder my watching the last few episodes of PICARD though.

We haven't really had any in Massachusetts in 2020. But, after 2015, I'm good for a long time.

One time that winter, I hadn't shoveled out a section of my driveway yet that I intended the shovel. Then a snow truck dumped a ton of snow right onto that area! And the peak of it was taller than I am. The amount of snow I had to shovel when I went outside doubled. But I had to do it. So I pretended I was in Rocky IV, during one of the montages (a.k.a. half the movie, and I think I'm being generous. ;))

OK, Stewart's would-be-laywers here think the public has no right to such information. Despite such information on salaries of many other actors and actresses being freely available.
The public has no right to no. None. Doesn't matter what other actors or actresses do. Salaries are private information and are treated as such. We don't have a right to know.

Wonder away. There is no rights here.
obsession board?
Definitely this one.

I still don’t think it matters but I will say I was wrong. The information is out there through a reliable source about Stewart’s payday on Picard. But I’m not going to do the work for people. If someone really wants to know, I will say: Google is your friend.

Great if it is out there. I'm still not entitled to it.
