Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

$750-800K per episode?

Pretty good reasons for a comeback, I'd say.
Is this a discussion board or not?

Of course. We all know the reasons. He wants to make it out that Stewart just did it for the money
Which is contraction to all the interviews Stewart had given.

the man has a net worth of around $70-$80m. He doesn’t have to work at all.

But someone here seemed to imply like Stewart woke up one morning and, out of a sheer idealism or whatever, felt like playing Picard again.
The story as told by Patrick is that Kurtzman and co. pitched the basic idea, but Patrick said no. He thought it over, and asked them to write a treatment and pitch it again, and then he agreed.

Like I said, there is already a lot of similar information available. This info is no different. It's not like it's an H-bomb or UFO-related confident stuff. He's a fricking actor and naturally there is public interest in such information, just like there's one in how much Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill got for playing their roles in Star Wars.

There really isn't though. You and maybe a few like you care about that. The rest of the world could give a flying f*** about what celebrities earn

When one has to state the obvious, many times one is dealing with this ...

Im guessing closer to $2-3mil per episode. In the final season of Friends, each cast member made a million. It’s been years and Stewart has gotten his name out there for sure.

exactly. He had no interest in going back to what he’d done before. However they presented him with something different and interesting enough to him for him to do it.

I’m sure he’s getting well paid but he doesn’t NEED the money. He’s be just fine without the Picard Money. There have been actors who had success early on and blew the money and had to reprise the role to make ends meet but that’s not Stewart. He can pick and choose what he wants to do. There are no shortages of movies and tv shows that would pay him big money to come. He is in a position to pick what he wants to do if anything and he chose Star Trek. They are absolutely not the only people who were willing to pay him.

Who are you to tell me it's none of my business? Are you his lawyer? A CBS employee? A simple shill?
Would you please stop fracking accusing people of this shit. It makes you look petty among other things.

And what happened to you saying you were going to leave?
I'm really curious about this...
Since it is very apparent that this has become a go-to insult used in such a way to get a rise out of other posters around here, would it not be considered an act that goes against the Rules of the Forums?

my guess would be 1-2m/ep but I could see 3. Coming off the amazing performance in Logan he was going to be very in demand. When an actor is in demand you’re going to have to pay to get him. Just how it works. He’s still at the top of his game.
