OK. Thank you for the info and honest sharing of the information available to you.
I'll check some sources and try to find that out.
What makes you think that? I merely would like to know how much is he being paid. Is there anything inherently bad about that curiosity? Believe it or not, I occasionally wish to know how much actors are being paid for their particular roles, e.g. in a movie, as many other folks wish to know as well, I'm sure.
Fine.
And, by the way, I really loved what the guys of STC made with their online-series Star Trek Continues. Excellent work, a great quality non-official Trek series, i.e. continuation, in a true spirit of Star Trek (TOS).
I was criticizing the series itself, not so much, if at all, Patrick.
Of course he wanted it. No matter what "ideals" may have motivated him, one thing is clear, he certainly wouldn't want to do it without a paycheck.
And, the question is.... how big is that paycheck (?)
I'm not insinuating anything. I really do want to know that.
Moneygrab or a juicy paycheck, whatever you may call it, isn't that the same thing? Besides, why would a question like that bother you? Are you by any chance his lawyer or something?
The obsession with an actor’s salary bothers me. It’s ultimately none of our business and will not affect much in the way of my personal enjoyment or the amount I spend to get CBS All Access and watch this show.
You have as much right to know what Sir Patrick Stewart makes for a living, as we do your entire personal medical history...
That is, NO Right At All.
And any justification you toss out, would be just as valid for our inquiries into your personal health information.
(in other words, not valid in any way)
Repeating that request over and over still doesn't make it acceptable, it just becomes tiresome and borders on being rude.
Nevertheless, there is surely a certain portion of the public interested in that information (about a PUBLIC person/actor).
Actually, it's one simple question and about a dozen people with a "it's none of your business" attitude. I'd rather be bothered by the latter than the former.
Bad analogy.
It's more closer to what Gonzo said above.

You're not factoring in how that "simple question" was loaded with hyperbole about having a "right"/"need" to know.Actually, it's one simple question and about a dozen people with a "it's none of your business" attitude.
Sorry, you're quite incorrect, it is a perfectly good analogy.Bad analogy.

And it is none of your business. Period. End of line.
Sure. You. That's a certain portion. A mighty small on, but still a portion yes.
In the mean time, what someone earns is no one's effing business. You have no RIGHT whatsoever to demand to know what a public figure earns. Or what John Doe around the corner earns. That's private. And this might come as a shock, but even celebs have a right to privacy.
I would actually pay to see you ask Harrison Ford how much he makes. He's a fricking actor and naturally there is public interest in such information, just like there's one in how much Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill got for playing their roles in Star Wars.
Who are you to tell me it's none of my business? Are you his lawyer? A CBS employee? A simple shill?
Feel free to guesstimate then.
OK, Stewart's would-be-laywers here think the public has no right to such information. Despite such information on salaries of many other actors and actresses being freely available. Fine. The sum in the amount of so and so, right down to the cent, is a matter that is not to be disclosed. I think we can live with that. But what about a simple guesstimation? Surely some of you devoted and loyal fans have wondered how much Mr. Stewart was paid for repeating his role as Picard. We sure know how much he was paid back then, in TNG.
If someone has a guesstimate, feel free to share with the rest. If someone has an exact information, even better.
