A 9 from me. Great stuff, only a little underwhelming, but it is only a setup for the finale.
And Sutra, more than likely she has Lore in her DNA.

What if Starfleet got Picard's message and sents a fleet of ships including the Enterprise

I think they wanna leave the idea for Picard's death out there. Patrick is up in age and they are keeping their options open. If their subscription numbers are high after the 2nd season, and Patrick is still willing to do it, they'll keep him alive.

I would think that the Enterprise would be part of whatever Starfleet force comes. It would certainly be an obvious opportunity to bring it in.

I mean, yes, Starfleet security screwed up big time allowing an infiltrator to reach a high enough rank to exploit in such a devastatingly deadly way. I was just making the point that the order to commit murder came from the Zhat Vash, it wasn't an official Starfleet command decision.

I loved it, and really can't wait to see the finale. I especially liked Picard's dialogue with Seven of Nine. Really hope it's a hint that she is going to get a prominent role either next season or in her own series.

What are Sutra's motivations? Power? She was the one who hurt her fellow synths by releasing Narek.

Also Narek can kill an android so easily? This doesn't strike Soong as odd? I thought androids activated and were super strong and super fast when in danger.

It wasn't Narek that killed the android, I got the impression Sutra murdered her and is framing Narek to setup the pretense needed.

There's going to be some sort of twist in Episode 10 that can't be foreseen from the end of Episode 9.

But one thing I do foresee is that it'll be Seven who brings the cavalry, not Starfleet. Starfleet saving the day is everything this series isn't, so it won't be them.

I agree about twists we can't predict, but I think one of the major reveals will be Starfleet showing up to help save the day. They have just been pushing too hard on the "Starfleet betrayed their ideals" narrative from Picard. I'm sure Seven will play a role, but so will Starfleet.

I’m pretty sure a Borg Cube crash landing on a planet would do some considerable damage to the surrounding area. They have a volume of 27,000 m3. That’s not small

3 of the flowers attempted to slow it down, helped minimize the damage from the crash.

I think the direction of the show is that Picard will transfer his mind to the new body (that will look like someone else) and in season two there will be two Picards! By end of season 2, OG Picard will die while new Picard will continue on commanding some new ship

I disagree, because I agree with the following theory...

They may use the android body/vessel, or Soji/Picard use it to bring Data back. Parts of him seem to exist. If they can get it all (his Katra) in one body, rebooted Data might be able to reach enough of the other synths to convince them to end this.

This seems most likely. The body is being made to look like Spiner, and back in episode 1 Jurati talked about how Data could be restored from a single neuron according to Maddox's theories. My bet is she is secretly planning to put Data in the body rather than Soong as part of her plan. Gives them a good in story reason to bring Data back.

Funny enough...in regards to the usual YT haters: This ep felt more like a TNG ep then any before. A cliffhanger, an evil twin....resolutions being slightly disappointing.

Star Trek: The Kama of Sutra? After all, Jana is Kama with the two consonants shifted by one.

Anyway, I was mixed about the episode. It felt like too much set-up. And I was sorely disappointed about the length. Why can't these be an hour? I really don't believe the female android was killed from a glass-bird-to-the-eye. I mean, Data stood up to machine gun fire. It was a set-up to get the Synths to distrust Picard.

Will be interesting to see how they close the season, presumably it will be a cliff hanger to ensure interest for the next season, bringing in the Enterprise E or even F would certainly heighten the anticipation for S2.

Could be a big space battle if Starfleet turns up or the big bad could be summoned and its everyone vs that.

We don't really know much about this Intergalactic Intelligence, at this point it could be anything, it could already be there watching.

A lot will ride on whether or not Picard dies and what Jurati does with that new body.
