So no Newsroom, no Penny Dreadful no Mr. Mercedes, no Snowpiercer, no Scott Pigrim Vs. the World, no Hail Caesar, no American Horror Story, no Merlin, Musketeer or Merlin (for Cabrera), and Michelle Hurd's been around alot as well, Daredevil, Blindspot, Hawai 5-0, Ash vs. the Evil Dead. These are actors who have all been in a whole lot more than any TNG actor in the past 10 years including Stewart.
i love the newsroom, but i didn't recognize her - i knew i'd seen her somewhere, though

I don't necessary always remember names of actors, but I remember if I have seen them before. Annoyingly I often do not remember where I have seen them before!

I don't forget a face. Names give me a problem, though. So when I went to my high school reunion two years ago, and some of my former classmates' appearances changed dramatically in some of cases... I was fucked. :p

Them: "Hey! Remember me?"
Me (lying through my teeth): "Ummmm... yeah!"

Oh yeah, I met a classmate once from grade 6 when i was around 20. It was clear that I'd made a big impression on her as she seemed excited to see me again, but she was a complete and utter blank to me.

There's honestly probably less than 30 shows that I've watched in the last ten years.

Lemme try and figure it out:

Netflix: Originals:
Altered Carbon
Another Life
Dark Crystal" Age Of Resistance (didn't finish)
Disenchantment
Lost In Space
Love, Death & Robots
Stranger Things
The Witcher

Netflix - Other:
Penny Dreadful (didn't finish)
The Last Kingdom (didn't finish)
Dark Matter (didn't finish)

Amazon Prime:
Carnival Row
Good Omens
The Expanse
Undone

Everything else:
Game of Thrones
Star Trek: Discovery
Star Trek: Picard
The Orville

That's about it, not counting re-watching old shit like "Old Trek," Babylon 5, Stargate, Farscape, nuBSG, Defiance, etc.

I do suspect that a lot of people are the same, they rewatch a lot of old stuff. I don't, because there is so much new stuff coming practically every single week.

Way more than me.

Daredevil
The Defenders
NCIS
Orville
Witcher
Discovery

That's not counting shows I started and didn't finish like Jessica Jones or Carnival Row.

This episode was the first one that felt a bit like filler for me. I despise the StreamVision trend of introducing the new splashy guest star/recurring guest star at the very end of the episode as a "cliff hanger."
The pointless meanderings with the Romulan agent/ Data's daughter are a drag...and detract from the more compelling parts of the show.
I like Dr. Jurati, she seems to be taking the Ensign Tilly role, without the overpowering I'M NEW AND YOUNG AND HAPPY routine.
I think the show is headed in the right place, this week just felt like an overlong detour.

Was that just the one NCIS or all, what, 14 of them? I mean, I can understand watching all the NCIS's to be a full time job in and of itself.

I usually don't watch old TV. I made an exception for TNG because of Picard. I generally stick to new shows (almost exclusively streaming or on pay cable).

Old movies are a different story. I don't think much of current mainstream movies these days. Prestige TV and independent films are the place to be right now.
