    Heh ...
Us Baby-Boomers have been doing that since the 1950's.
And that's a Hell of a lot more stuff to try and remember.

As a rule, I make it a habit not to get all objectifyishly gooey over celeb women. But PL has always been an exception. And you can count prepubescent me amongst the many for whom Enterprise Incident was a life-altering experience.

Picard’s gift is rather boring. At least give him the Star Wars novel or something.
Lord of the Rings would have been hilarious. :)

From the posts so far we get more confirmation of the 5 queens being Data's daughters.

Now does that mean there are 5 sets of twins with 4 more to be revealed or 5 versions of Dahj/Soji with three more to be revealed.

Plus additional confirmation that Rizzo is very possessive of Narek, we really didn't need any more confirmation of that though, she is going to end up either trying to kill Narek/Soji or dying trying to save them, you can never be entirely sure which with people like that.

Nice bit of Seven at the end as well.

It’s the final 5. Picard will be revealed to be one at the end.

I also found it a little odd. These Romulans must have very bad literature if a kid is so excited about 19th century earth stories XD

Yes but he used to only LOOK 10 years older. Not so bad when you are 47 and look 57. Now he walks, talks and acts 10 years older than an 80 yo. There is no scene where Stewart doesnt suck the air out of the room. He's just a dead drag on every scene and episode.

Part of the general lameness of the episode. I got gifts like that as a kid in the 70s. I wanted Han's blaster or a lightsaber in '77, not a copy of the fracking Three Musketeers.

Stewart doesnt have the energy of even Bernie Sanders (about his age). He is a walking, talking fossil who slows every scene to a crawl and puts any audience to sleep. If he had HALF the energy of nearly 90 yo Shatner, this would be better. Instead we get a retirement home Bingo champ to put us to sleep as he slowly works up the energy to walk in a straight line, let alone make anything happen. Sad to see him so physically limp and flaccid. Give him some pep pills or viagra or something to wake this man UP.

If nothing else, your posts are entertaining. Stewart, IMO, is showing a decent amount of energy, as it isn't like anyone else on the show is busting moves either for the most part. What exactly have you seen Shatner in of late that suggests he's so full of youthful energy?

I liked the Senator's line in regard to Romulan ingenuity and how, in their one moment of doubt, they turned to The Federation. After all their conniving and game plays over the centuries, all the rejections of peaceful overtures from Starfleet, they finally cracked when they knew they weren't equipped to handle the scale of the calamity alone. And what did they get when they *finally* reached out to The Federation at their most vulnerable? Abandoned.

Romulans also come in the Australian variety now. That'll take some getting used to.

Love that Picard has set up his study as the new ready room. "Come!"

I think we're due for a shake up on the cube.

Oh, and Seven. Seven! When she beamed aboard and saw Picard I thought to myself "Locutus..." Anyhoo, wish they hadn't spoiled it in the credits.

All in all, another solid episode. Next week ... What. The. Hell?! My first thought - Star Trek: Oceans 11?

Reminded me of that Blunt Talk episode where Patrick Stewart had to dress like a woman to get into a party.

But, a woman being openly sexual in Star Trek means you must be nothing short of a temptress if not thoroughly evil. Some things (in Star Trek) never change.
