from an really outside pov: how can someone miss that after 3+ years?

I washed my hands of both political parties in 2007 and firmly cemented it in 2009. I only engage in state level politics and loathe the entire spectrum of political pontificating and virtue signaling

I’m inherently apolitical, thanks for trying to disparage me as a means of an ad hominem instead of addressing my error in logic.

And it was an error in logic, at least I’m willing to admit my fault and haven’t resorted to attacking the other person.
I think you'll find that my second paragraph did most definitely address your error in logic.

And I'm sorry but being "apolitical" doesn't excuse the lack in judgement and apparent insensitivity that you showed with your starting comment.
As I said though, this is not the place where we should be debating today's political climate in the USA.

SO... How about those Romulan Ears on Commodore Oh. Ain't they a hoot?

in other words you chose to be blind?

Blind implies ignorance. I elect to disengage from
Federal level politics regardless of what political party is currently in power and their lies and deception towards the people pretending they really do have the best interests of all Americans in mind

which means you stop arguing about it?

Yes, it is "Typical" for me to point out that there is a specific area in the Trek BBS called
THE NEUTRAL ZONE for these kind of discussions.

And as I do not wish to be Banned from this place, I will move along home and ask again...

How About those Ears?

I hate it when somebody drools in my ear....
Other Places..., I'm good with though.

When things begin to become too political, the mods will step in to say to take it to TNZ, or the Miscellaneous Forum (where you actually can post about politics, contrary to myth).

It's why I try to avoid talking about Modern Politics in the Trek forums. If I mention anything (usually for historical parallels), I generally try to stick to the Cold War and earlier, where it's far enough in the past.

I'm a Finn* so I have no part in that. It is just funny how dismissive Americans are towards the French even though their nation wouldn't even exist without the French help.

I know. That drives me nuts too. Blame it on historical illiteracy. We're supposed to think we beat the British all by our lonesome 'cause we're just that awesome.

True story: I was visiting once visiting an historic Revolutionary War battlefield when I heard a father explaining to his kids that Lafayette was the commander of the British forces during the War.

The pain, the pain!
