Reading this whole Romulans are Synths and Sonji is pregnant with Narek's baby theory makes me think of Bladerunner 2049; Deckard's & Rachel's daughter.
They really did build a worker class of andorids/synths. Federation starships built by Android slave labour. Holy shitballs.
Looks like someone overrode F8 when the attack began rather than him acting alone.
Really liking the diversity of aliens everywhere.
Is the "Romulan Free State" is the surviving Romulan government?
Starfleet infiltrated by Romulan whatever-whatever-double-secret-android-hating agents? Okay cool.
Why do they hate synthetics? I wonder if Vulcans are perfect synths, and it was some kind of synthetic revolution that initiated the schism. Surak was perhaps the Noonien Soong of the Vulcan people.
I've read some very vitriolic reviews over at Trekmovie. I really don't understand the fan base anymore. Too fast, too slow, not enough fan service, too much fan service. It's extremely depressing.
My comment had nothing to do with where Enterprise is filmed, merely the fact that many current productions are filmed in Vancouver.
I see a few got Raffi and Rizzo mixed up as well.So many misspellings of poor Soji's name in this thread!
Wasn't it both? He traveled through time and they didn't believe him specifically because he had Irumodic Syndrome. They dismissed his claims as yet another delusion caused by the illness he already had.
Wow that was a quick 45 minutes.

"Cheeky fuckers" I love that Irish Romulan ex-Tal Shiar woman.
Not entirely sure what's happening on the Borg cube. Are the ex-drone workers there by choice or slaves?

Wow that admiral hates Picard. She was trembling with rage. 2 old people yelling at each other.
Hawaiians are the luckiest. They'll be able to watch, as soon as it drops, during a normal hour in the evening.
Yet another reason to want to go to Hawaii. Besides the weather, the overall atmosphere, and the luaus. We need music to go with this...
Well we all remember the Romulan plan in TNG to infiltrate Federation society thru Vulcan. I suspect the Commodore may be a part of that. Is she a Vulcan? Section 31 operative? A Romulan? IDK. Clearly the Lt who is the sister of Narek is Romulan despite her rounded ears. Not surprisingly, the Romulan Blade Runners are part of an Op, possibly a Section 31/Tal Shiar operation.
An interesting episode and in some ways better than the previous one. We got to know more details about the series' present. Unfortunately there was a problem known from many episodes of TNG. As viewers we are supposed to be on Picard's side in his moral crusade when in fact the truth lies on the other side and Picard comes out as a hypocrite criticizing the behaviour he himself has done many times (here comes out the flaw in the episodic TV episode in which as viewers we should not remember the actions of characters from other episodes). The Admiral was right to treat him like this.
Grade: 8/10
No, you're just wrong. EU has government, it is called European Commission. UFP is much more analogous to EU than USA. It is a collective of different states with their own traditions an political cultures. If a member state wants to leave for stupid reasons, they can.No, it should be harder. It's a FEDERATION. The EU is not. It has a unified government, the EU does not. The analogy is a state leaving the US.
Unless it's as I suggested and they had a run-in with the Borg a few millennia ago. Then it makes perfect sense.
I agree with you but given that this show is based off TNG, I think it's more understandable here than with DSC. I treat it like I'm learning how to speak a foreign language.
About Commodore Oh (very strange name). I really hope she is neither Vulcan nor Romulan. Maybe some other Vulcanoid, Debrune, Mintakan or whatever.
The second episode was not as, ahem, engaging as the first, but it was still pretty good. There were a couple of moments where they almost seemed to poke fun at the idea the kind of sequel most TNG fans actually want to see. First, Picard goes to this year's token crabby Admiral and requests to be reinstated and given a ship-- and is promptly accused of fucking hubris and sent packing. Then later, one of his Romulan caretakers suggests that he contact members of his old Enterprise crew and he soundly rejects that notion on the grounds that they would be loyal and want to help. Okay. Personally, I would have preferred that scenario, but this is the scenario we got and so far it's doing okay.
.
I hear you just cancel your subscription to the Federation. And then in a bit they offer a free trial. Oh wait that’s CBS. It’s canon!!
I just now looked it up to see what the heck you were on about. So who's doing the promoting here?
Oh, some conspiracy theories are dangerous. Pizzagate got out of hand and Alex Jones' vile treatment of the families of the Sandy Hook victims is one of the most shameful incidents of a conspiracy theory leading to defamation and misery for innocents. I'm on record in favor of mandatory infant and childhood immunizations and fines or even jail time for parents who refuse to vaccinate but aside from a select handful of theories that actually threaten lives or health or both or slander to the point of court action being required to get justice for one's defamation I'm not much motivated to penalize or criminalize other conspiracy beliefs.
