The Iconians are just one possibility, whether or not Picard will answer these issues in full remains to be seen though.

They did say that the first three episodes are scene setters for what is to come.

It wont surprise me if it ends up being Temporal Cold War related.

Unless the supernova was not natural and the discovery of this is an important part of setting up a new villain, I would prefer that the less they say about it, the better. As presented in ST:09 it was beyond silly. Sounds like they have retconned it somewhat. Either way, just let it go and move on to the politics and other repercussions of the aftermath.

I doubt I'm going to wake up at 5 and watch it like the premier, but I will probably try and download it onto my tablet when I wake up at 6AM for viewing on the bus in the morning.

I made a mistake watching at 3 AM last time. I knew I was making a mistake to begin with but I didn't realize how big of one. I couldn't sleep afterwards, it took a few days to get my sleep cycle back to normal, and I was slammed with a ton of work at work afterwards with hard deadlines. Yay me.

So I'm not doing that again.

When she was called Destroyer I kept thinking Destroyer of worlds from Agents of Shield.

I just assume Romulans don’t like her because synths destroyed the rescue fleet.

My thoughts on the episode's title:

I guess Picard becomes more curious about Dahj's origins, creator, and whereabouts, so his quest to find her begins. "Maps" might refer to his search for leads and clues.

"Legends" has a double-meaning. It could mean direction on a map, but could also mean a well-liked and successful leader and Starfleet officer just like himself. Perhaps this is also the episode where Picard will pay a visit to his legendary 'Number One' Riker?

Anyway, stay tuned...
