Star Trek: Phase II (the original)

2258; Kirk takes over in 226? 5 or 6?
Filming on WNMHGB wrapped for the actors around August 7, 1965, so, 2265 is a good date if you are in the +300 year camp. In my head cannon, using Kirk's tombstone stardates (C. 1277.1 to 1313.7 where C. = Captain) and using my theory on stardates (approx. 2.738 stardates is one day), Kirk just took over command ~13.4 days prior to the end of the episode (1313.8), so, if you correlate filming wrap date for the actors and end of the episode for the actors, Kirk took over on stardate 1277.1 which was 7/24/2265. :techman:

So that Phase II that never happened...

I was hoping that IDW would do a Phase II comic after their short in the Wayward series. Perhaps adapt some of the unused scripts like they did with Ellison's original COTEOF teleplay.

If wishes were horses...

I would love something like that. Put it on my wish list, along with a Blu-ray copy of the Star Trek: The Motion Picture SLV.

Maybe if the 5th year TOS does well, IDW might risk a Phase II series. The mini series was enjoyable enough although I prefer stories that take 4 issues to tell. Shorter characters stories are fine but a proper adventure is tied up too neatly in two issues .
