Star Trek passings

I could not find anything for either Bart or Tom either. Along with at least six more actors I've found just in the first season of classic Trek that have totally disappeared. Even the youngest among them would have to be about 88, so it is likely they have passed. As I had mentioned, I couldn't find any info on Dick Cherney either but at 105, it's unlikely he's alive now. And that's what we'll have to do to all the unknowns - wait.

the ones from season 1 I can't find any word on are......
Edward Madden
Jerry Foxworth
John Bellah
John Arndt
Nancy Wong
Mark Tobin
Sheri Townsend
Jim Spencer

But I only follow actors with speaking parts.

Grant, I will research those names asap but my schedule is busy as I do research for a number of science projects and do proofreading for my editor/publisher''s books.

That's very nice of you but I wasn't actually requesting you to do research! Let your real-world work take precedent of course. Thanks a lot!

Nick Borgani passed away March 11, 1987, age of 82. He played a background hood in the classic Star Trek episode, 'A Piece of the Action'.
As for Grant's list of actors, based on tidbits of info I find online and suggestions by other posters, I do believe John Bellah is still living. John Arndt would be very close to 100 today if still living. Nancy Wong is still living. Mark Tobin and Sheri Townsend are likely still living. I could find no information on Jim Spencer as the Net can only find the baseball player by the same name.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but actor Morgan Woodward (Van Gelder & Capt. Tracy) died a couple of months ago in his 90s. He always had a flare for vicious, scary characters. RIP.

Robert Strong passed away July 14th, 1993, age of 87. He played a background soldier in the classic Star Trek episode 'Patterns of Force'.
Benjie Bancroft passed away Mar. 7th, 2007, age of 88. He played a background soldier in the classic Star Trek episode 'Patterns of Force'.
Shep Houghton passed away Dec. 15th, 2016, age of 102. He played a cameraman in the classic Star Trek episode 'Bread and Circuses'.
Edwin Rochelle passed away in 1977. He played a man with newspaper in the classic Star Trek episode 'Assignment: Earth'.
I just finished researching Season 2 of classic Trek and this brings our list to 292 actors who have passed away or have been assumed to have passed due to them being over 100 years of age.

Impressive. You've certainly done your Star Trek homework.

My goodness! How do you even know the names of actors who were not credited or background extras?

research, research, research

Vince St. Cyr passed away Mar. 16th, 1997, age of 66 of a long-duration illness. He played the father of the drowning boy in the classic Star Trek episode 'The Paradise Syndrome'.

Arell Blanton passed away Sept. 21, 2018, age of 74. He played the Chief Security Guard in the classic Star Trek episode 'The Savage Curtain'.
This brings the total of actors who have passed away, according to my research, to 294. There are at least another dozen actors who have likely passed away but no records can be found online at the present time plus there are at least twenty more who have completely disappeared from public life but who are likely young enough to still be with us.

Grant and Green, perhaps you two can fill in some details for me...
In classic Star Trek, an actress by the last name of 'Barker' played a very far background Talosian. Would you know her first name?
In TNG, Karin Baxter played an Operations Ensign in which episode of TNG? She died in 2014.
Jean Novak played an Operations crewman in which TNG episode? She died in 2005.
Bernie Bielawski played a Ferengi in Deep Space Nine. Which episode? He died in 2000.
Louise Schulze died in 2003 and was in ST: The Voyage Home but played what?
Richard Walker died in 2013. He was a background actor in TNG but I've no other information.
Dominic Calandra was a background actor in ST: Enterprise and died in 2015. What episode and character?
