I wonder if he ever felt like he just missed the fame of being a Trek regular. Those lines they wrote for him in Catspaw -- "credits to navy beans", etc. and giving Chekov a hard time didn't endear him to the fans.

Love that line, Especially when people bring up "no money" or "Trek never used "slang".

Theo Marcuse, who was Bower's partner in supernatural crime in CATSPAW, was one of the very first TREK actor passings. He may be the first ''non-officer'' to do so. The majority of ''uniforms'' made it through much of the 1990s.

Maybe a little ironic or coincidental that her biggest part in Star Trek was as a bride and it clearly looked like she was portrayed as Catholic. One of the very few times Earth religions were alluded to and she ended up passing away on Easter Sunday. Also little-known fact she was BFF with Gilligan's Island actress Dawn Wells and believe it or not they shared the same birth day and birth year! Rest in peace.

Even though I didn't watch a lot of the original show growing up, and mainly knew him from the first six movies, I remember being truly saddened when Leonard Nimoy passed. Spock was probably my favorite character from that era, and "Unification" is one of my most-loved "TNG" episodes.

The man behind the mind blowing Ticonderoga set museum has been killed, [apparently I misread, it is another member of the staff and Elvis impersonator, not the owner] and the man who killed him charged with 2nd degree manslaughter.

I went a couple of years back, I did not have him for my guide as I paid for a photo tour and their photographer took me around. It was absolutely fantastic. If I had seen it when I was 12 I probably would have passed out. Every room was better than the one before. Walking out onto the Bridge was *an experience*.

Sympathies for those he left behind, and I hope that whomever inherits his legacy continues the museum with the same love and care he does.
