This is great news. I wanted to go skeet shooting next weekend, but I was all out of clay pigeons. Glue a few of these together, and they should do nicely.

coasters. I'm telling you, that disc is a great coaster. you think I'm gonna put my beer down on my table? Directly?

LOL, well said. IMO, yes it is that bad.

If I want to watch people chase cars in the desert, I'll go buy Mad Max. And unlike Nemesis, I won't feel like I'm being cheated out of my money.

I was joking of course but if they had put some mad max stunts in that scene then I would buy it. :D

I purchased this evil DVD for the above price to complete my collection..Have no intention on ever seeing it however...

Wow :brickwall:

Hey Aldo, mind if I join you?

:brickwall:

That's one of the stupidest things I've heard all day. "I bought a DVD that I'm never going to watch! Not only that, I think it's evil but never mind that I've never seen it to actually have a valid opinion on the matter!" Real winner.

Come on guys. Nemesis wasn't *THAT* bad.
Yes. Yes, it was. I think I'd rather watch "Threshhold."

Nemesis was better than Insurrection, I'll give it that much. All this talk though has made me want to check the local used DVD shop to see if they're overburdened with copies and might want to deal on one.

While I freely join in the Nemesis bashing because quite frankly, I think the film deserves it. I do find the film to be watchable, it's just that nothing interesting really happens in the film; when potentially interesting stuff does happen, it happens in a completely uninteresting way.

Yep, aside from the murky cinematrograpy, I thought the movie looked fantastic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nemesis is the second best TNG movie. Far better written and visualised than either 'Generations' or 'Insurrection', and it is actually the only TNG movie that looks like a movie and not a TV show. Had it come in the place of one of those movies then it wouldn't have been a box-office flop.

Having said this, that doesn't make it good either. None of the TNG films minus FC were.

I agree with you, though as a second place it's a verrrrryyyy distant second to FC because of the movie like feel that it had and none of the others did.

Just to clarity something...the Nemesis on sale is the first release, single-disc edition. It is also full-screen.

The now-standard two-disc version is still $9.99 like all the other Special Edition DVDs.

That may or may not have an impact. It depends what extra content there was on the deluxe. I've stopped caring as much about commentaries and documentaries since I started with DVD's about 7 years ago.

Perhaps.

But the fact remains that the one that is in the discount bin is an older version that is no longer being produced. People claiming that the studio finally realized that Nemesis is worthless and are now just selling it get rid of it is misguided.
