What we've seen of it so far is pretty similar to the TOS ship...

If all they wanted to get was 'close' they should have made Galaxy Quest II.Starship Polaris said:
My definition of "close" just isn't particularly anal retentive. The TMP ship and the TNG ship are pretty similar to the original, too.

Well, we know how accurate the "Generations" actions figures were.

I actually find it rather hard to BELIEVE. I'd like to hear about where, specifically, this was the case. The Castellan said:

Also, I don't think that "conservative" is the right word to use. Supposing that there were places that this sort of overprotective, governmental-nanny-state attitudes were actually present... that's NOT a "conservative" attitude.

And (based on the first "Galaxy Quest") in doing so would probably be making a better "Star Trek" film than most of the first ten - which is rather the point of making a new Trek movie, right?
Bring Back Tim Allen!![]()
Very possibly. I'm not a very big fan of any of the Star Trek films myself.Starship Polaris said:

You should tell that to the Republican Conservatives. Maybe then they won't get their panties in a twist about flag burning, gay marriage, Evolution curricula, Brain dead women on Life support, or a President's lack of weenie control.

Lol, and the film could be about the production of a new Galaxy Quest film, with new younger actors playing the roles, except that Alan Rickman was asked back to reprise his role and Tim Allen wasn't.

I realize this is probably going too far here... but what are the chances that the action figure prototypes seen at this Toy Fair are decoys? Or, at least, not completely accurate to the final product?
