Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes coming!

My comic shop just rang to clarify what variant covers I wanted for issue #1 (arriving Down Under on Thursday) and Diamond is saying that the first run has already sold out, and a reprint will be rushed into production.

I can`t rememeber the last time the US, Canadian and Australian dollars were all at par.

Still, you`re paying a fair bit of a surcharge for a 2.99/3.99 comic.

StarTrek.com has a six-page preview up. I wasn't sure what to make of this, as I've never heard of Legion of Super-Heroes before, but the preview looks great; I'm quite excited now.

I am getting all the varriants to thise series cause I love both teams of heroes.
just as well I got all the varriants from the star trek ongoing series.

can't wait till tomarrow.

I wasn't too sure if I was going to get it, I honestly think I rolled my eyes when it was announced, but I did pick it up. I was never really into (interrested & huge Batfan but never bought any) comics until Countdown but now I've been sucked in thanks to the New 52 & new Trek comics. My wife thinks I've lost it, but then again she knew that years ago.

For some reason, I thought this crossover featured the 50s/60s Legion of Superheroes, not the 70s/80s version. I suppose I should have paid more attention; I was looking forward to it. :(

Christopher, since this involves Original Series-era time travel, any chance you might work a reference to it in Forgotten History when you get the copy edits back from Pocket? :)

Just finished it and thought it was awesome. The plot just works in my opinion. This is going to be awesome...and Allyn's suggestion for Forgetting History would be awesome!! I could see the DTI getting a headache over this one!

Loved the cameo by a Theskian*. (Probably not intentional.)

* Related to Andorians, but with yellow hair ("TNG: Metamorphosis" by Jean Lorrah).

Some thoughts on the first issue...

I love that the captain of the Imperial Planets starship is Tommy Tomorrow. That's just right in so many ways. :)

(Okay, I'll explain. Tommy Tomorrow is vaguely Kirk-ish in the original comics. He's a total douchebag in Howard Chaykin's Twilight. His appearance here hits the best of both -- he's a douchebag Kirk.)

Also, I love the Imperial Planets starship designs. The crossed Legion Cruiser/Klingon D-7 is pretty awesome.

This is slightly post-"Great Darkness Saga" for the Legion. Recent enough that Imra and Garth would name-check Darkseid.

I was a little disappointed that the two "teams" haven't met yet, but I have to admit that you really can't beat the final page.

I have to wonder what the DTI report on this would be, when all is said and done.

In short. It was fun. It was what I wanted. Now I want to see more. :)
