I thought the books were just as bad with Mangels involved
DS9: Cathedral (Mission Gamma 3) was co-written by him and pretty painful to get through (the MG parts anyway).
Well, glad you didn't find MY work that painful then.![]()
Me too. (They really need a raises hand smileie).^ That's really funny. I've always thought the DS9 parts were great and the Gamma parts were crap.
Have you considered pitching novels solo? I'd love to read them.
Oh look, another day, another "I'm not attacking them for having gay characters but..." driveby from Bishop76, who, of course, blames any poor writing on the gay author.
Because it's inconceivable to him that, just perhaps, Mike may have had a part in the characters as well. Bishop's ignorance is especially interesting here in that the character singled out for ridicule (Trip's brother) was Mike's idea (as I recall), and I believe solely written by Mike in every scene he's ever appeared in.
I have enjoyed all the books by Mike and Andy, regardless of whether they wrote together or alone.
Each to their own.
I don't really know exactly what happened to sour their relationship and it really has no bearing on the matter since the Trek books are written either way.
I will keep buying Trek books until I die, the sun goes supernova or the Trek dies a horrible death, whichever comes first. I might not read all the books (not NF, at any rate) depending on what they cover, but I will keep reading, no matter who writes them.
