No, but he spoke of them as his child, so I am guessing that he's going to make it official. Why wouldn't he?
Not to mention subatomic bacteria!! That one always makes me laugh when I hear it, probably because I don't watch that episode very often. You know with time (and repetition) you can get used to any bullshit, no matter how outrageous.
Shinzon from Nemesis was his evil twin.
Gave the episode an 8. On second viewing, I would give it a 7 or 6. The ep could have been a lot better without the plot contrivances and fantasy elements.
Also, there was too much stuff crammed into a single episode. If only the show had two more eps to better develop the plot...
The Sphere Data controlled robots became mindless targets instead of actively helping the crew neutralize the regulators. BTW, where was the rest of Discovery's crew besides Tilly & Co?
Discovery transitioned from "easily captured" in the previous episodes to being able to confront dozens of starships and a starbase.
The show needs to improve the space battles. A lot of shooting from all sides and nothing really happening. Either they have the worst weapons, or the best shields in the universe.
The Ni'Var task force arrival was kind of pointless besides reminding the viewers they only answered the call because Michael Burnham, sister of Spock, made it.
What was up with all the empty space inside Discovery and the Viridian? Thought I was watching Star Wars for a sec there.
Was it really necessary to detonate the warp core inside the Viridian? Couldn't Discovery just cripple the ship from the inside using phasers and quantum torpedoes in order to activate the spore drive and jump to the nebula, thus allowing Starfleet and the Ni'Varians to seize the Emerald Chain's flagship?
Suddenly, Booker was also able to control the spore drive, making Stamets less relevant. This reminded me of Discovery's cloaking device coming out of nowhere a few episodes back.
The Burn was indeed caused by Su'Kal's reaction (scream) to his mother's death. Culber tried to explain the "science" behind it, but it doesn't make sense.
Apparently, holodecks can materialize former hosts of Trill symbionts... Too bad they didn't know about that one on DS9!
Saru was sidelined by the Su'Kal plot so Burnham could become Discovery's captain. Saw that one coming miles away.
However, I didn't anticipate Vance becoming a Burnham fanboy and going "Oooh, I was wrong and you were right about everything. Here, take a promotion to Captain!".
Well, at least Sahil showed up in the end to save the day!

I’ve never understood the obsession with Nilsson. It’s like watching TOS and being like “wow...thank God Mr. Leslie is in this one.”

She's very attractive. I get it. Rightly or wrongly people like watching attractive people.
Well....yeah...I get it. But she’s also a background character many people were actively hoping would get the Executive Officer position.
Just seems odd.
I'd be willing to wager a large amount of money that if she didn't look the way she does no one would have been pushed for her as first officer.
I would not, under any circumstance, bet against you on that one.
Osyraa transported everyone else to starfleet HQs as a goodwill gesture in the previous episode.
But in saying that she certainly doesn't cone across unpleasant - Nilsson is clearly a likeable and competent officer from what little we've seen. There's no reason people wouldn't like Nilsson, but I think the impact she's made is largely down to the way she looks.
I thought it was a shame to replace a such a visually-striking and unique character like Airiam with 'just another human' but there were obviously off-screens reasons for this.
Well. Mr. DeSalle was very pleasant and compliant as well. But I wouldn’t have been advocating for him to become the XO if Spock had left early for Kolinhar.
Nor would I, in any way other than on the immediate surface, care one bit about whether or not the character was present in an episode or not.

Lt. Commander Airiam, with her rank, basically made her third-in-command behind Lorca and Saru. Or later Pike and Saru. Nilsson was brought in to replace Airiam, so it makes some people -- including me -- assume Nilsson was replacing Airiam in both position and pecking order in the chain-of-command.

I think Season 4 would be really helped honestly with an outsider joining the crew who acts as a mild antagonist to Burnham. A Seven to her Janeway basically, who comes in, doesn't totally obey orders, and generally stinks up the joint. It would be intriguing because the shoe would be on the other foot for Michael. Instead of being the rebellious junior officer, now she has to learn to deal with a rebellious junior officer herself.
If they keep the same "supportive circle of friends" vibe with the bridge crew they had this season, it's going to be intolerably boring.
Making Tilly first officer was more than a stretch. Making Tilly first officer was lunacy.
