Next week looks like it is going to be an absolute trip. Burnham turning into a trill, Culber turning into a Bajoran, spooky ancient ruins and a menacing alien starship. I can't wait.
I think it is Osira's ship. Remember Vance's complaint about Book's use of the emerald chain technology on Discovery.
Maybe the "ancient ruins" are inside the Kelpian ship and they're the ones with the TARDIS technology we saw on Enterprise.
Definitely doesn't look like the same ship from The Sanctuary, but doesn't mean it's not another Emerald Chain ship.

Next week's Ready Room will have Doug Jones and Janet Kidder, so I am thinking that there will be a confrontation between the Discovery and the Emerald Chain in next week's episode.

Stamets becoming Adira's best friend/dad is my favorite part of the new season.
Almost all the parts of this season I liked have centred around that team
I find Burnham looking like a Trill interesting species choice given the events of episode four. The hugging goodbye for an away mission makes it feel like the characters won't return quite the same as they left even if they remain human. Especially being that these two characters have died previously in the show.

In fairness and not to sound like one of those people who doesn't like the amount of emotion in this show, but the characters hug and kiss each other all the time. It could be anything.
Or Ye Old trek plot #15 Human is disguised as an alien to go undercover.

I love Gay Space Daddy Stamets! I want a Disco spinoff... My Two Gay Space Dads, where Stamets and Culber adopt Adira.
Yep as a gay man i feel like i finally see characters i can identify with, who are like me on my favourite tv show. Growing up, gay characters in movies and tv shows where either stereotypes or led lives filled with tragedy. Even today i find most gay characters to be somewhat stereotypical. But not culber and stamets. They are so very layered. Culber has quickly become my favourite character on Discovery. I identify with his nurturing masculinity and wish i had more of his confidence. But yeah sign me up for star trek: gay space dads any day of the week.
